Yes, I remember that. Honey Smacks were also called Sugar Smacks.

Did you like Honeycomb cereal?

Not really, though I find it ironic when they're advertising this sugary cereal and Tony the Tiger in kids' sports.

I used to like Honeycomb, but right now I'm trying to eat Chex and Multi-grain Cheerios. Cut back sugar intake, you know?

Same question.

I should, probably....but I like the "old-time" cereals. I used to really like Rice Chex as an older kid.

I remember when Tony the Tiger promoted a contest where a kid received $5 a week allowance for a whole year (it was in 1974). Can one imagine such a contest today?

Have you ever noticed more than just a "crackle" in Rice Krispies? Supposedly, they "snap, crackle, and pop."

Yes,

Did you ever make Rice Krispie treats from the recipe on the back of the cereal box?

But they're more of a mixture of green and amber and seem to change as well.

Hazel

Do you like illusions that play with your brain. (I do)

That was a nice song! It reminded me of another band but I can't place which.

Surprising thing: I remember when I was five walking home from school (on my own -- we weren't sheltered then), and my brother came running saying "the bobcat is here!" and I was so excited to go see a cat, but it turned out he was talking about a bulldozer thing to dig our swimming pool -- which was also a surprise! I was very excited and playing with a purple plastic combination lock for his bicycle, spinning the numbers. I have a vague recollection that there was Vietnam war news on the radio but I didn't understand war (I still don't).

Brain illusions: I could never do Magic Eye or Find Waldo. I like magic, though.

What did you get wrongfully accused of? What was the punishment?

My father accused me of ripping his leather captain's seat on our boat, but I didn't! I think I may have been spanked but I don't remember the actual punishment. The worst thing for me was that he didn't believe me and he was disappointed. That broke my heart. I'm sure there are more stories but I can't think of any right now.

Hazel eyes

Surprising thing: Getting a painting of a Lynx point Siamese cat as a present from people on a cat site I used to frequent. It looked exactly like my first cat, Samantha.

Illusions: no, generally I don't like them

Thing I got punished for that wasn't my fault: I can't remember anything. If I got punished, it was usually my fault.

On the other hand, has anyone taken credit for something they didn't do? What was the reaction? Were you praised, or did someone say it was the dumbest thing ever (like those people who steal a co-workers idea, then get chewed out by the boss for having the dumbest idea ever?)

Yeah, I once considered using cooking foil to help eliminate the need for heavy scrubbing while I worked at an elementary school, but such action was seen as negative by all accounts.
