My very first word was "turtle" and that was very fitting for my personality. I didn't learn much about people but I learned about the natural world. I learned to be introspective and to think for myself. Unfortunately there were perverts then too, if not more than now. I think most people today choose to indulge with the internet instead of preying on children, but I may be wrong. There were some horrific assaults in those years (possibly for me as well, if I remember correctly), but parents still respected the value of liberated play. The world was much less fearful as a whole, and I learned the value of solitude.

I didn't really learn important lessons as a kid , it's only looking back as an adult that I am amazed I'm not dead , got abducted or worse. I was a very naive kid

Same Q

A man tried to abduct my nephew from a shopping plaza, when I turned my back to get our lunch at the food area.
A woman intervened and pretended that she was his mother so the man would be frightened away. I've never gotten over the shock of this incident because it happened so fast, and I fear I didn't reward the woman as well as I should have. I was in shock. To this day I thank God for her quick thinking. I know the exact date this occurred, so I just did the math and realised my nephew was 12 years old. Even at that age he was vulnerable because the man knew exactly what he was doing.

A bloke approached me in an amusement arcade and got chatting , asked me if I played cards then said do you want to come to my house to play. I went to his house and played cards but someone else came into the house and the bloke freaked and told me to hide under the bed as he would get into trouble if anyone knew he had someone in his room. I hid under the bed. After a while I just thought I gotta get outta here before this bloke gets into trouble  and I ran. I look back at that moment and wonder wtf happened

Thank goodness that your intuition kicked in, even if you didn't understand your urge to run.

Yes I love chocolate

Last year, I gave up the following foods:

Potatoes
Clif bars, cereal
Mediterranean lentil salad
Epicurean tofu
Sushi

It didn't matter how long I ate them or how many

It was easy and no craving

Chocolate, I have tried and failed to give up

Like heroin addiction

What ten jobs stand out for you as, jobs that people that did not work hard at school, get (does not have to be correct factually)?

i don't know that
i didn't work hard bc i knew everything at once, academically, all ears and the short connection to the brain,
but 'half a century of swimming lessons' didn't work and later, suddenly i could swim after all

later on you'd be set back by not knowing to learn by heart
which is the key to 'the cloud'

im usually confused by directions as 'over there' when i try to figure out which 'over there' it tends not to be that,
finding it by logic doesn't do anything in anything,
there's a box of 'secret' agreements i can't know about
also, some is not secret, but out of reach
---one is to make a song and dance about everything or it doesn't count
---boost and promote yourself incessantly or you be trodden on

your favorit christmas food ?

Figgy pudding.
Brazil nuts and roasted chestnuts remind me of my father.
Toblerone.
We always get an orange in the toe of our stocking, too. (I don't eat oranges but love getting one as tradition).

Potatoes, though I can no longer have those, pumpkin pie, and other desserts.

If you were stuck on a deserted island, what would you do?
