My wife feels it’s required. I say linens “correct themselves.”

Same question

Linen clothing, yes. Linen bedding, no. Cotton bedding, even more of a no. It would damage the fibres.
I hope she enjoys ironing because I'd rather just snuggle my sheets.

long walk or long bike ride?

I used to love biking long distance and mountain biking. I'd still prefer it if I could manage (I had a stroke so doubt my balance would be sufficient). I'll have to say long walk.

read fiction or non-fiction?

A set of encyclopedias was an obsession of mine growing up. I like to read both fiction and non-fiction.

I probably read more non-fiction because I devour literary criticism, social history and Brontë biographies but those books are all about fiction ... and don't forget there are only seven Brontë novels so I don't have as much range with them!

I remember reading a Guinness Records book in an afternoon when I was nine.

new wave or disco?

New Wave, but I have some sentimental memories of my dad dancing disco.

Steak or Gammon?

Steak almost never. Only if it's organic 100% grass fed from a local farm. After the first mad cow outbreak many years ago I was done with "conventional" beef. Jambon.

Have you ever told someone you love them, but they say they don't love you?

Lamb or duck? I've had both in my life but don't care for either. Pan seared duck breast can taste startlingly similar to steak if done medium. If I had to choose, I would say duck.

Have you ever had goat/chevon?

I honestly can't recall on the unrequited love q. I'll have to try hard to recollect. Same q

I haven't had goat.

I'm very old-fashioned (and conventional) about love. I wouldn't say 'I love you' first, so I wouldn't have that problem.
I have had to tell someone I didn't love them, though.

Describe a previous new year's eve that you remember (e.g., from childhood).

I remember when I was little, how one year I actually did stay up 'til midnight, when my cousin was over.

What do you think love is?
