Thanks, korts!
She looks remarkably like my maternal lineage, and she reminds me of the Bloomsbury women with that literary look in her eye! I also have a thing for hats!
I always admired Fred much like my father. He was gruff and stern but loved Wilma unconditionally, and would do anything for his family. He was a real man.
Songs that remind me of my family:
Father:
Roy Orbison, Satisfaction (Stones), I Saw Her Standing There (Beatles), almost all Elvis songs, Rasputin (Boney M), A Boy Named Sue (Johnny Cash) and anything Neil Young especially Sugar Mountain.
Father's Dad:
Love Lies Bleeding (Elton)
Father's Mother:
Bridge Over Troubled Water (SG)
Mother:
Rod Stewart ballads
Her mother:
Blue Bayou, Don't It Make Your Brown Eyes Blue
Brother:
All Tom Petty, Take It Easy (Eagles)
Jam: I'm all about raspberry or black currant. I can't do strawberry.
