Hey, I remember having to do that! The kids these days are so used to the new digital ramrods that they can't even imagine what it was like to have to use the old analog ones that broke all the time.

Ice cube trays made of aluminium that would stick to your fingers like a magnet and give you third degree freezer burns.

Pay envelopes with cash inside.

Printer paper in a perforated, concertinaed ream with holes running up the side that you had to wind into the printer, and often went crooked for some reason.

Kerosene-heated showers.

Copper boilers.

Wringer washing machines and washboards.

Laundry "blue" in muslin bags.
