Wow, that's crazy.

I can relate to what you described at the end there and it doesn't sound like what you're describing, right enough.

Crazy in a brilliantly psychic kind of way? :D

Yeah, the other stuff with hearing music at night, I still want to figure out. I want to get a good recording device and see what it picks up compared to what I'm hearing and try to make sense of it. I know my hearing ability is acute, but hearing music or voices where there is no discernable source, is highly irregular.

Practicing my singing, in hopes that my clubhouse will host a Stepping Stones Idol.

Yes! Of course

That's a good idea, you might be able to work something out there. What sort of noises would be contributing to music?

I've got acute hearing too. Speaking of music at night, I was in bed and hadn't been in for long (so I wasn't half asleep) and suddenly a song came strongly into my head and played perfectly. It was a pop tune that I hadn't heard in ages that I didn't really hear often and didn't particularly like. I had put the most fantastic beat over it and remixed it into an amazing house remix! I thought, "Right, I really must remember that so I can try and do it." And then I forgot it completely. :wall:

Listening back to all the house tunes I've spent all day sourcing. I still can't find some. All I have is bits of lyrics and the songs are too scarce to find online!! :(

I'm not sure. I haven't had time to do research into the whole auditory hallucination concept. I have a sort of working theory that what may be happening is internal patterning in my brain. To explain simply, there is a concrete perception (the actual sound), like that coming from a central heating system in house. I get the perception of the sound, but then instead of it stopping there like it does for most people (neurotypicals), my brain goes further needing to make patterns of it. The patterns that my brain makes work off of already known patterns like music and voices. Then , depending on the frequency and other factors of the actual sound, my brain formulates patterns of it and goes off on a musical or other sound tangent trying to make logical sense of it, by forming new patterns on top of it. That's about as far as I am with my theory.

Aw that sucks. I've had that kind of thing happen many times, only not with music, but with words or visuals. I've had whole movie scenes play in my head or dialogue or poems or lyrics that just spring up. If I don't catch it immediately, it disappears into thin air. That's why I keep notebads with me and by my bed all the time.

Attempting to format my essay correctly. Surely if my argument is clear and persuasive and I've acknowledged my sources, the formatting should not be such a big deal, but no, "it could make the difference between passing and failing".

That's interesting, I hope you manage to find out more.

I used the notes function on my phone but it's hard to translate everything into words.

Listening to the Giants game. Today it's radio only so I'm multitasking a bit right now, on the internet and listening to the game. Matt Cain is pitching today, and I want him to score some fantasy points for me. Go Giants!
