I fried some mushrooms and onions without burning them, to add to the taters I plan to cook tomorrow, put them in a covered bowl, let them cool down, and put them in the fridge. It'd be too much of a strain to cook the mushrooms and onions on the same day as the taters and all the other things I put in them, and the oven, microwave and hotplates couldn't stand it either. The electricity blows a breaker if I run them all at the same time, and the breaker box is accessible only by the landlord's maintenance staff, so you have to be Einstein to get the job done at all or you could be without electricity for a day or two. This is no place for a master chef.
Put away a few groceries.
Played with the cat, combed her, and gave her some salmon puree and treats.
Set up the breakfast things ready for tomorrow, and made the breakfast this morning.
Took my blood pressure a few times, calculated the average and standard deviation, and added the results to my Excel file.
Removed a painful speck of dust from my right eye. Examined the big toe I hurt this morning when I accidentally banged it into the bedpost. Put my boots on. Walked once round the car park before giving up because of the pain from the sore toe and concern that I might make it worse. Took my boots off.
Prepared a salad and ate it.
Mucked about on the Web, giving and receiving information, some of it potentially useful, especially if fun can be considered a useful thing, which I think it is.
Just an ordinary day really, though without any major project going on. Lots of micro-achievements to keep things ticking over. I feel I should have done more, but I'm still getting over this virus and I feel entitled to take it easy especially at my age, so I forgive myself.
