I didn't know I was autistic until I started to self-identify in 2017, and I had my formal assessment in 2018. I had no idea. I just thought I was weird and "less than" other people in terms of my confidence or my social skills.

Yes I like it now that I understand it.

same q

What type of Autism do you have and are you diagnosed I am moderately Autistic. I love being Autistic. As long as anything I have doesn't hold me or anyone else back I love having it because it is a part of who I am and I never not had Autism as well.

Are you an introvert or an extrovert.

I am diagnosed with Autism. They don't give levels any more but I was told I wasn't "Aspergers" or "High Functioning", but rather I was equal to Level 2 Moderate Autism. I require "Substantial support" in both categories of social interaction and repetitive behaviour. I do not have an intellectual impairment.

Comorbid: MDD, GAD with Agoraphobia, Complex PTSD, Selective Mutism. I also had a stroke, so there's some behaviour attributed to my stroke damage.

I have synaesthesia as well.

My IQ on an online Weschler test was quite high, but my AQ score was 49/50 and this is my spider web test:

I'm a pretty complex person in terms of diagnosis.

I suppose somewhere between introvert and ambivert, because even though I'm reserved a good portion of the time, I have my moments. Depends on how well I know the people I'm around, what I'm doing, and my mood.

e; Same query.

I never liked cards. I didn't even know how to play Go Fish or Crazy 8's. I think I might have played Old Maid with cards that had cartoon pictures on them because I can imagine what they used to smell like. I'm very good at shuffling a deck of cards despite the fact I don't play cards.

Can you shuffle cards? (The type where they fall together using your thumbs -- I don't know what it's called).

I do a passable job of it----not much more than passable.

I've enjoyed playing poker in the past----but I haven't played in many years. And when I did, it was only "penny-ante."

Have you ever been the victim of a confidence game in the street? (e.g., "three-card monte")

Hard for me to do it without dropping them and or making a mess.

No, I never have.

Although I did fall for something somewhat similar. My wife and I both had gone to Las Vegas for the first time years ago on a business conference. She grew up in a large city, I did not. We were "walking the strip" and we approached a few people on the corner who were handing out pamphlets, etc. One of them made eye contact with us from maybe 20 feet away and my wife said: "Don't look at them! Don't say anything!". Too late. The guy said to us: "Where are you from?" I told him and he proceeded to want to engage us in conversation. My wife pulled me onward and I then realized he was trying to sell us something (e.g. tickets to a show, etc). I asked her how the heck she knew that he was going to get us to buy something since she'd never been to Vegas before either. She said: "I grew up in a big city. You just know those things...."

Have you ever played pool or billiards?

Many times. I grew up with a professional billiards table in our house. I used to build forts under it, but I was pretty good at the game as well. I doubt I knew all the rules but I did play. My mother still has the cues and balls but I think she sold the table. I also played quite a bit with boyfriends 2 and 3, while at pubs.

same q

I loved playing pool with my friends, both at pool halls and at bars. We got quite good. It was fun to play new opponents and be able to continue to play until we'd lose and then the winners would play the next people. We could go for a pretty long streak before losing. I'd love to play again, but it's been years. Very good memories though.

I've only played actual billiards on tables with no pockets a few times. My childhood friend's dad was an extremely good billiards player and he'd take us to pool halls sometimes which is where I first was introduced to pool/billiards.

What about ping pong?

Wait a minute... my table had pockets. Isn't that still called billiards?

I've only played ping pong or table tennis once or twice in my life.

Did you have a John Hughes type of crush in high school?

It's "pocket billiards." Called both "billiards" and "pool" in the US, though "pool" is more common. I believe that's the case in the UK, too, though "billiards" is probably more common there.

There's "billiards" without the pockets, too. That's never called "pool." Always called "billiards."

I had all kinds of crushes on teachers and on other kids starting in junior high.
