I like red to. Red with white and black stripes are my favorite flag combinations.

Well, it's not a matter of if Earth will eventually be removed from the existence equation, rather when..

Currently, I'm trying to find work at this juncture with hardly any results.

Quite a number of times, though mostly I've replaced it with mild frustration and near apathy.

What the heck is it with older generations not realizing how difficult it is to become independent currently with how overpriced and full of extortion schemes everything is? Is it just due to things being better back when they were younger and they can't see it's changed or is it just some bullcrap of "make money for me to spend!"?

I think it depends on what time in the past you'd be referring to. If you were to ask someone struggling to find enough work to even feed themselves properly during the Great Depression, they'd take umbrage with your assumption. There are many reasons in addition to the high cost of living for why it's hard for a young person to become financially independent from their parents. It could be argued, for example, that parents are partly to blame in coddling children well into their adulthood.

Have you ever owned a futon?

No, I haven't owned a futon but my friend does and I've slept on it.

Do you have fine china (dishes)?

We inherited a set but we've never used them. We have small but all too effective bulls in the china shop at home...

I have ten place settings of china, as well as my grandmother's antique silver tea service.

Do you have coffee bean spoons?

I have a 2 tablespoon measuring spoon for coffee grounds but other than "teaspoons" I don't have anything more specific for coffee.

Did you ever have a dog snap at your or bite you when you were a child?

The coffee bean spoons I remember from my auntie were something like this, with real coffee beans.
I wish I had inherited them.

I was only around one dog when I was younger. It was my uncle's dog and although it was a yappy little thing I don't recall it biting me. I wasn't allowed to have my own dog until I moved out from my parents' house, because my father didn't like dogs.

Cool spoons!

We were vacationing at a resort on a lake when I was a kid and the resort owners had a dog on a chain. It seemed friendly enough but one day I walked by and saw that it was chewing on something. I couldn't tell what it was so I ignorantly walked toward the dog to get a better look. When I was very close to it, the dog lunged, snarled and snapped. I narrowly escaped getting bit. It turns out the dog was chewing on a dead squirrel. Lesson learned?

Funny enough, on that same vacation I also learned that if you stick a piece of wood in a hole in the wall of a pump house thereby blocking the entrance/exit of an active hornet's nest inside the building that after you remove the piece of wood, the hornets will fly out and sting you!

Are you afraid of snakes?

I'm not afraid of snakes at all. I think they're quite lovely most of the time, and I feel sorry for them because so many people hate them. I avoid touching them for sensory reasons but not because I'm afraid. Those other legless, vile creatures, however... :eew: :eew: :eew:

That's an interesting lesson you learned!

Do you remember learning to ride a bike?

I've always liked snakes as well; but then I grew up in an area that has no poisonous snakes so perhaps my view of them would be different if I lived in an area that had such things.

I have vague memories of learning to ride a bike. A bike was my primary tool for getting around as well as for fun when I was a kid. I covered many miles of the same country roads!
