I...erm...can't ride a bike. My grandpa attempted to teach me a couple times. That was...not fun. I was quite scared, and when I got off, I was trembling like a leaf.
Maybe if it was a super small bike...
I do like riding my manually-operated scooter, though.

Yes, I have baked bread. I'm assuming you have too Magna.

@kura, I remember my first two-wheeler bike which was purple with a bell. I got it for Easter when I was about eight. I don't really remember learning to ride it but I know my father taught me how.

Have you ever hosted a formal dinner party just for fun? (Not a family holiday meal).

The coffee bean spoons I remember from my auntie were something like this, with real coffee beans.
I wish I had inherited them.

I was only around one dog when I was younger. It was my uncle's dog and although it was a yappy little thing I don't recall it biting me. I wasn't allowed to have my own dog until I moved out from my parents' house, because my father didn't like dogs.

sorry, just had to express my admiration there.

No, I have never hosted a formal dinner party. Anyone coming to my house would choke on the mould and/or asbestos and/or dust...

What is your favourite memory from childhood?

Yes, I've baked bread from scratch.

"Formal" dinner party? No. Hosting people and cooking everything presented to the guests, yes. BBQ comes to mind. Marinated smoked skewers of shrimp as an appetizer. Mmmmmmmm, yes please!

Oooh, walk time!

Alita ^

I used to do dinner parties when I was working and pretending to be NT. Never again.

My favourite memory from childhood is likely Christmas Eve traditions from the mid 1970s at my Uncle Frank's house.

I could write a book about Christmas Eve. I also loved Christmas morning 1975.

My favorite memory from childhood would probably be sitting high up in a large tree in the back of the woods by myself, using all of my senses and being fully aware of everything going on around me in nature.

What are your favorite three fruits?

What are your favourite three proteins?

In no particular order: chicken, fish and pork.

It depends on the veggie burger. Some of them are heinous. I've made my own from recipes. One uses lentils and another I just made for the first time last week used chickpeas and they were very tasty!

Turkey for me too, please!

Have you ever eaten steak tartare?

Yes, I've had pâté. I can't say I loved it.

Did you ever own a pager? (beeper?)

I've never had a pager.

Assuming you had one, what color was the main rotary dial phone in your childhood home? Ours was mounted to the wall and was an avocado green color.

Steak tartare is totally raw steak.

I believe the kitchen phone on the wall was yellow.

I forgot what color the bedroom phone was.

Do you remember a time when phone numbers had letters?

Ours were the heavy table-top kind, and shiny black. I had an older, broken one in my play fort and I used it to dial Elton John's mother (my mother-in-law) to yell at her.

In California one of my treats was that I could have my own touch-tone phone in my bedroom, with my own phone number.

My parents didn't realise I had no one to call.

My parents had letters in their phone numbers when they were younger.

Did you used to read the phone directory for fun? I did.
