I hate that image of "tough on the outside, soft on the inside."

A person who acts like an as*hole, no matter how nice he/she is "inside," is still an as*hole in my book---unless he/she can prove his/her decency by learning to act decent over time.

My favorite character in "The Breakfast Club" is the nerdy kid.

I liked the nerdy boy who couldn't make his wood-shop project work, and Allison the shy nerdy girl.

Were you more happy in the 80s or the 90s?

Well I think the idea is that he goes through character development and stops being a jerk altogether. It sucks that he thought he had to be a jerk to begin with, but recognizing that you're in the wrong and changing that is a good thing I think. I like character development. Which all of the main characters go through, even if Ally Sheedy's is a little questionable. The nerdy is named Brian I think, I lime him too, I was never confortable with him beong the one who stayed behind to write the note while they all ran off to do their own thing but I guess at least he did volunteer to do it.

I have seen breakfast club, favorite character is Bender. I like that he comes across as a jerk at first but he turns out to be a really cool, nice guy who is willing to sacrifice himself for his friends.

Bender is my favorite, too. I think I had a crush on him. I loved that movie as a teenager and had most of the words memorized.

I was probably happier in the 80s. I was still a toddler and my parents weren't divorced yet.

Same question.

I was probably happier in the 1990s than the 1980s. In the 1980s, I was a confused 20-something person.

Things made more sense to me when I got in my 30s in the 90s.

By the way, I believe in "character development," too. Truly, I hope the "growth" exhibited by the "jerk" become a permanent part of his being. I would give him a chance.

Same question.

I have no clue I was a baby in the 80s. I can remember the 90s so I'm inclined to say 90s.

Same question.

I like to think it was permanent as well, since there isn't really any evidence it's not, but since there is lind of a trend of making sequels decades later now, I fear we can only jope and pray that we never find out the opposite is true.

I was a very happy person for the most part, in the 80s. That's when I had my first boyfriend and went to high school / Uni.

The 90s were rather subversive for me. I started to realise I didn't fit in, and my career felt like a nightmare.

Bender was a nice guy. I knew many like him. I like his character development too, but I'm just not big on "bad guy" types. I like nerdy guys.

Do you wish you could be a child again, or is being an adult easier?

I ALWAYS hated being a kid. I hated it with all my being. I wanted to be grown up from the time I knew what "grown up" meant. When I was about 5 years old.

Same question.

Kind of wish I was a child again but also like being grown up since no one can tell me what to do unless I let them, also it's not as frowned upon to like things like cartoons as an adult amymore so that's cool.

Same question.

I didn't like being a kid. I was too affected by my parents' whims. Being an adult isn't easier but I have more freedom.

What is your favorite fruit?

Bananas.

What is your favorite vegetable?

I like the freedom of adulthood, but my childhood memories carry a lot of nostalgia and I'm always trying to retrieve that feeling or those sensations. I miss being a child but I'm sure I idealise it too much.

My favourite fruit is likely pineapple. (Second: blueberries)

Favourite veg: Hot peppers (nightshades), or asparagus.

Do you peel your apples before eating them?

Probably corn-on-the-cob.

Same question.

I hardly ever eat apples.

That's why I say I kind of want to be a child again myself. But like you said adulthood has more freedom, and I don't get judged too harshly that I know of for liking the same stuff I liked as a kid. As long as I tend to what responsibilities I have, I don't think people care. And if they do, they don't say anything.

I don't peel my apples but I need to cut them in cubes first to make sure there are no little creatures inside.
I like green apples because they're less mushy. It's very rare for me to eat a red apple unless it's one of the more expensive varieties.

I agree re: childhood. I am free to act like a child now that I'm an adult in my own house. I can watch cartoons and wear my pyjamas all day if I want.

Have you ever made an apple pie?
