@Rad,
I recovered a lot through damages / costs awards against the perp. It was identity theft and extortion so quite a bit was insured, but a few investments were lost. It's worth it to be safe now.

@Short,
I was punished for being the last person in queue after lunch break. I argued that someone is always "the last in the line" but was punished again for speaking up. I think that's all.

same q

I guess that's better than nothing but it really sucks that it even happened in the first place. I agree though, it's good you're safe now.

I got detention once, not sure why, I remember thinkong it was a stupid reason though, I was new and I think it had something to do with a rule I wasn't familiar with yet or something.

Same question.

I got detention once for being tardy too many times. I was kind of a goody two shoes generally. My favorite history teacher did tell me once that he was disappointed in me because I wouldn't quit talking during his lecture. I think that felt worse than getting into actual trouble.

Same question.

Detention in elementary only twice

Once in g.4 for having talked during an assembly. I cried about it and this was a few days before I would move to Leamington.

Another instant in g.8 for apparently not having coloured a title page for French class.

Any experience with instances in which police have been shatteringly disappointing?.

Many times.
When I sought protection from the situation I was trapped in, they did nothing but excuse and embolden the perp.

Also it's been five months since my nephew was stabbed, and they let the suspect out on bail despite the fact he'd already killed someone at age 22.

Same q

Seems like you have the misfortune of living in a Thomas Hardy book, his protagonists always had the worse things happen to them. I'm glad you were finally able to escape your situation.

I've lived a charmed life legally and have never had a bad interaction with the police.

On a hopefully lighter note: If you could live in a particular book/tv show/movie which would you choose?

Lol -- I love Thomas Hardy. Yes, you could say it's been something like that at times, mixed with some Dickensian farce and Brontëan deception.

If I could live in a book it would be Villette, and a show would be Six Feet Under. I could be Ruth and Sarah's third sister, and the auntie of Claire.

Probably the A to Z Mysteries book series by Ron Roy since I loved those books as a kid.

What is your favorite season and why?

Autumn, because the days get progressively shorter and darker and there are lots of thunderstorms or rainy days. I get to wear layers and cardigans and boots. The trees are pretty. Also, it ends with Christmas! It's good in every way!

Fall because it's not too cold, wet, or hot. And it has Halloween. Also colorful leaves are really neat. Only problem is it's too short.

Same question.

I equally enjoy both Spring and Autumn. During Spring things begin their cycle of growth and that energy feels...good. Animals start feeling better...and we're a type of animal! During Fall things begin to slow down and decay starts to set in. The energy and atmosphere around this time are great for contemplating our impermanence. Moderate temperatures and rain are also a boon.

Same question.

Autumn by a mile. Not cold like winter, no mosquitoes like summer, and my allergies are out of control in the Spring. It's the one time of year I feel truly comfortable walking outside.

Autumn also has the best holidays. Halloween is my favorite holiday, and Thanksgiving is one of the few holidays I actually get off in my line of work. End with Christmas and new years which while technically in Winter are something to look forward all autumn season. Autumn also has the American Football season which is an interest of mine.
