Computerlove has definitely a picture of himself as avatar. Less sure of others....

I actually dislike when people have their own pics as avatars, they freak me out a bit.

then again, I'm big on privacy and anonymity on the net and I'm always scared of being recognised in here

Hm..then i have to say i dont understand why you
are here. Sounds like alot of hassel being someplace
and trying to hide that you are there, makes little
sense to me - personally i wouldn`t be at a place
i had to hide, way to much of a hassel.

I like no face avatars also, but if someone want to
put up a pic, for the sake of s**t and all that is holy,
put up a pic yourself and no one else, please,
it just makes so little sense. "hi this is me writing..
and the guy in the pic is a actor from some movie"
riiight... ..and this you do because..???

well having a mental disorder isn't something I'm proud of. I bet most people here would rather be incognito.

no hassle hiding your identity, you just don't talk about it.

Not sure we are talking about the same thing.
I have AS and i`m not hiding because of that.
I dont hide, i have nothing to hide, anyone with
a problem is welcome to step up and take a shot.
I either am me and open or i stay away, hiding
is for those who have something to hide - thats
not me at all. I`m me and i`m right here, no
hiding or running around, too old for that.

Thats very sad to hear you think you have to hide
hope it works out for you - why should you hide, are
you less worth then anyone else? did you bring AS
upon yourself? No. Live your life and screw the bozos
would be my advice anyway. Hiding...meh - that
takes time out of my life just so others wont think
bad of me. To hell with those people, they can rot
there, other people are not going to make me hide
myself, they are not any better then me in any way.

^^ I dunno, I see it totally the other way round- it's easier not to mention it, otherwise I'd have to explain the whole condition to every single person I meet... that would be hard work ;p

Thats your choice and i respect that.
I dont tell everyone i met i have AS,
but i dont do anything to hide it either,
i have to be me or else things can get
difficult fast . Anyway, the important
thing is that you are happy, whatever
you do or tell others about AS and such,
thats the important thing that it works
for you. If people get curious and start
to ask to much, i tell them to pick up
a book and read a little, i dont work as
a information-stand and see no reason
why should have to teach them as long
as they have a brain and eyes on their own.
