I like horses very much. I had two horses when I was an adolescent.

I appreciate your summary of French philosophy.

Have you read Les Mis?

To amend the words of a moderator here - HORSES - Second only to dogs!

I've never read Les Miserables. The only French literature I've really read is bits of Balzac, Sand, Dumas, Camus, Flaubert, Hugo, Sartre, Rousseau and Voltaire - and Baudelaire, of course.

Are you a fan of soft drinks?

I gave up soft drinks for Lent, along with added salt. So far so good.

Don't have much of a taste for them anymore - too much sugar, and aspartame is worse.

Do you prefer Indian or Chinese food?

If I had to choose, I'd say Chinese. I'm not big on curry in Indian food, and I'm not big on MSG or that bland wet stuff that's on all Chinese food. I like the idea of Chinese and the recipes seem good, but they are never spicy enough for me. I don't even find Szechuan hot enough and I don't consider curry spicy at all.

I like really spicy Thai food.

I like that curry can be a spectrum  from mild to extremely spicy, but most places only offer the mild yellow curry that most people think of when they think curry.

I would pick good Chinese between the two.

I’m not too sure how to answer that: without sugar and without much spice would be fine with me.

Not fried for that matter—I would consider anything grilled including vegetarian food to be something of a delicacy. I would think that stews and soups are easier to prepare without meat.

Do you think R&B music is still relevant?.

’The Weekend’ seems to be Usher’s de facto chart substitute successor and if he is considered ‘semiretired’ at this point, I would say he’s earned it after having started when he was barely in his teens.

I don't know. R&B music nowadays sounds more like rap, and sing pretty much about clubbing and drinking, which is not in my lifestyle.

Same question.

"Relevant" - to what? If, by "relevant", you mean something like "good", then no - I don't like R&B, never have done and never will do.

If you could be an observer at any event in history, which would it be?

I think the objective case was a mistake there, but the answer to your question is in general no.

It's a four way tie for my favorite hats. I don't like wearing the ubiquitous "baseball cap" so, depending on the weather and season, I wear one of these:
