I've never used Excel (I tried and it was so confusing I gave up), and I've never read Demons.

Have you read Vanity Fair? (Thackeray)

There's no better than way of conveying disdain for it than to refrain from using italics

I've not yet read it either, though I picked a copy up from my university library last Saturday, which I'll start when I get a chance.

I've not read any Thackeray, though he's also on my list.

Do you like the ringing sound produced by rubbing the rim of a drinking glass? Personally, I think that's how heaven sounds.

I have tinnitus so the whole world sounds like that. I picture heaven to sound like Gregory Peck / Atticus Finch.

Do you have a favourite colour?

Charcoal grey ... but if people say "that's not a colour!", I'll pick violet.

Do you attribute personalities to inanimate objects? (e.g., feeling sorry for a stuffed toy when it gets damaged, feeling badly for an old shirt if you get rid of it). It's a form of synaesthesia.

To me every number, letter, colour and thing has a personality.

Continuing with the question I would say periwinkle if I found it difficult to settle between periwinkle and (according to wikipedia) a very pale tint of green called 'honeydew'.

If someone were to describe a person's life or an individual as a sculpture made out of time, what would you say to that?/think about that?.

The phrase was Andrei Tarkovsky's way of describing movies.

Yes I feel like inanimate objects have personalities and a level of awareness. I know it's not the case, but I can't help still thinking that way. Often it's manifested in situations where the object is adversarial/difficult.

Do you like arugula?

That immediately made me think of these lyrics from Simon & Garfunkel.

Like a poem poorly written
We are verses out of rhythm
Couplets out of rhyme
In syncopated time

I think everyone is a sculpture, shaped and created by layers of experience over time.

Yes I like arugula.

Do you wiggle your toes a lot?

Yes, my anxiety causes me to fidget about quite a bit in general, but I especially enjoy curling my toes - it's somewhat healthier than my habitual bruxism.

I took up Mr Kortie's suggestion of crackers, cheese and wine:

Awesome midnight snack.

Do you prefer red or white wine?

Red, no matter what the dish. I don't like white wine at all.

Do you own a Norton Anthology?

I don't own one, but have borrowed them from my university library in the past.

What Christopher Marlowe have you read?

I've definitely read his poetry, but I can't recall reading his plays.

"Come live with me" was one of the first poems I remember in Uni.

Do you prefer odd numbers or even?

Odd. My favourite integer is 9, my favourite decimal is e, my favourite prime is 7, my favourite irrational, after e, is √2 and my favourite physical constant is a toss-up between the Planck constant and the Boltzmann constant.

Who's your favourite popular singer?

Funny you say that. I have a tradition of making pork souvlaki for St. Pat's. lol.
I like all kebabs.

Do you prefer Shakespeare's poetry or plays?
