Yes, but I haven't flown in years.

What is the longest distance you've ever traveled?

In one journey? I'd estimate a little over a thousand miles (Gatwick/Birmingham INTL to Alicante).

I absolutely love flying. Do you have a favourite civil aircraft?

Living in an apartment block in a major city, I don't do much gardening, but I do love the outdoors when I get a chance to see them. Whenever I go to Ireland, after a few days in Dublin, I make the rest of the trip a walking holiday through the country's superb countryside. If the weather permits, I can easily walk twenty miles a day over there.

What religion do you belong to?

None. I wish I could bring myself to join the Catholic Church, and that they'd want me, but despite hundreds of hours spent trying to find a warrant for Christian belief, I can't convince myself, and when I asked about attending their services, they weren't particularly enthusiastic anyway. :(

Hilaire Belloc famously said "The Church is Europe and Europe is the Church". I suppose the Church seems fated to disappear into irrelevance just as much as Europe itself.

What's your favourite poem?

"Au Lecteur" from Baudelaire's Les Fleurs du Mal:

Nos péchés sont têtus, nos repentirs sont lâches;
Aux objets répugnants nous trouvons des appas;
Et dans un bâillement avalerait le monde;

Have you ever had your brain scanned? What method was used?

I had an MRI scan in 2010 or so. I was never given a copy of it. :(

I was told that there were no abnormalities, but I'm still convinced I had something like a mini stroke that year - and potentially others since.

Loose tea or tea bags?

Mini-strokes (TIA) don't show up on scans. I've had TIA and a real stroke.

Loose tea.

I don`t have any preference either, I happily use both types.

Have you seen the Aurora/Northeren lights "live" with your own eyes? And do you appreciate such experiences?
