No. I think most people understand my commitment to my work. I wouldn't consider myself a workaholic and I'm not perceived as such, just a hard-working person. I talk to people, but I'm not a mindless chatterbox.

Same q.

No, people actually assume I'm lazy or don't care, because so often I can't meet their expectations of me no matter how hard I try. "Workaholic" is probably about the last thing anyone would call me, because they don't see just how hard I try, they just see that I didn't meet their expectations.

Same question.

Nobody ever tries to engage me in conversation under the relevant circumstances. I only ever work alone.

Do you prefer Plato or Aristotle?

I find Aristotle to be sort of a rough character----but more concrete and understandable than Plato to the "masses."

Do you subscribed to the notion that people are just part of a "mass," and are totally subject to the whims of a "higher being"?

That's two separate questions, but I'm happy to answer both:

1. I believe in the collective/community and that the individual has certain limited duties to it, but I believe that the individual is ontologically prior to the category of which he forms a part.

2. I do not believe in the existence of a higher being of any supernatural variety, though if you again mean the community here, then while I reject that the individual has a duty to obey its whims, I do believe, in keeping with the above, that he has a duty to comply with its will where that will is rational and doesn't unduly limit his freedoms as an individual

What's your explanation for the UFO phenomenon?

Most likely, something which happened on Earth which can't be accounted for immediately.

Do you believe in the possibility of "intelligent" life in places other than the Planet Earth?

That's not an answer, but almost a tautology.

Of course I believe that there's intelligent life elsewhere in the universe. I find it incredibly disturbing, however, that despite forty years or so of trying, meaning we're scanning a spherical radius of forty lightyears, we still haven't found any.

What's your favourite writing system, other than the Roman one?

Yes no way won for me too despite having signed up for alerts
It was being held at a pub and I took that as a sign not to go as I don’t drink alcohol .

But they are also so few n far between (i only received this one notification since signing up last year) that I wonder what the point is
