Anne didn't study philosophy but was more didactic and religious in her writing than Emily, who provided no moral imperative. Anne was raised a Calvinist but her writing urged moral redemption, forgiveness and charity via self-determination and faith in God. Emily, in effect, was sort of pantheistic, perhaps transcendental in the Emerson sense.

Yes, to an extent. She was inspired by Goethe and Schiller. Darwinism, power, and survival of the fittest were another recurring theme.

I'm totally off topic though. Yes #2 -- my insurance said Friday that they STILL need more information.
