Quite the contrary. You're one of the most not-horrible people I know.
You're simply discovering what *every* dedicated young writer has discovered all through history, namely, that *everyone* begins with imitation. It is only by doing that, extensively, for a long period of time, that you begin, slowly, to develop your own distinctiveness. You've just moved much closer to that.

His cars aren't renowned for being the best maintained though, it was probably hanging on by a thread.
He forgot to put oil in his other car and cooked the engine.
The guy's a mechanic.

It's bit like this but the dent goes in not out.
It's funny that. It's like chef's who makes nice food all day long for other people but then's get home and makes s**t food for themselves
