I'm not eating but my husband is cooking rice and tomatoes with mushrooms and carrots

Do you prefer rice, pasta, potatoes (or other) and what do you eat it with (vegetables, meat, ...) ?

A toasted and buttered bagel.

What is your favorite game and why? (If you don't play games, what is your favorite movie and why?)

Not really. The sound of the name 'Will' sounds too much like too many other words, and everyone always wants to call me Bill.

I appreciate it xalepax, you are ever kind. :)

But I wasn't meaning myself. I meant a good reason why anyone should stay on WrongPlanet, and you answered that as well. :)

I do mostly, yes, but there are things I tend to dislike with mine also. Lack of a clear goal and the kind of messy management I encounter there. But hey, most colleagues are nice folks and I like working with 'clients' and love being in and around nature.

I work in a big hothouse and on the surrounding fields and we multiply plants, make bouquets, pieces of our own grown flowers and other plant parts like leaves an stuff, lots of tasks all concerning plants and I'm a jack of all trades most of the time. We try to sell our plants (in pots), pieces made by some pros but also a lot of clients living in the institute there make them. Also art, like paintings, ceramics and 3D pieces (made by clients).

Yesterday we opened our new shop and it's located in the center of a large mental institute, openly accessible for everybody (the park, restaurant and shop). A sort of little village set in a park-like setting with forest all around. It's quite beautiful and unique, I guess and surely a good place to be for this chap.

~

What do you think of this initiative where folks with, lets say, all sorts of mental troubles make, with some guidance, all sort of creative things, on a totally voluntairy basis of course and the things they make are sold (quite inexpensively) in said shop?

(sorry for the long post  )

I like the idea a lot. I know some local examples from my city. This kind of activities do a lot for each individual involved in such a project. They feel they are doing something useful in the society that is appreciated and confirmed from others and this make them feel good in their troubled soul I assume :)

Have you ever done any voluntary work?

Yes I have. I've volunteered with Red Cross, animal rescue agencies, homeless shelters, working with kids with CP, the library, cancer patients, nursing homes etc.

What is your favourite item of clothing to wear? It can be a certain style, or a specific item.

Inside the house: green sweat pants and a long sleeve t-shirt.
Outside the house: depends on the weather and if I have an appointment.

Have you ever gotten fed up with family politics?

No, most of my family is dead or lives far away. There hasn't been any politics to speak of for many years. Right now I'm only indirectly subject to the family politics of people I know. And yes, I get fed up with even the little bit that I end up hearing about.
