1. My brother repeated a year of school when he was 11.

2. My mother was the Valedictorian of her graduating class.

3. My father got the whip at school, for being left-handed.

#1 is your lie, Isabella.

1. I ran one marathon at 8 minutes, 48 seconds per mile.

2. I finished the 1998 New York City Marathon.

3. I ran the marathon in under 4 hours twice.

Nope,#2 is. I finished in 1995, 1996, and 1997. I failed to finish in 1998 because I feared a bathroom catastrophe.

Is #2 your lie?

2 is indeed my lie. I don't believe my mother even graduated, because her mother had a high-risk pregnancy that year. She actually flatlined on the table and was legally dead for a brief time. 8O My mother quit school at 16 to care for her mother and her baby sister.

My brother repeated a year. My dad was caned, and even had his left hand tied behind his back for correction. He was told he would go to hell for being a leftie. Apparently it was the sign of the devil.

1. I have a Zoom OT today.

2. My dog freaks out and climbs on me if I sneeze.

3. I have a hot date tomorrow.

#3. Your hot date will be soon, though.

1. I only had air-conditioning a few times in my home as a child.

2. Very few cars were air-conditioned in the NYC subway during the 1970s.

3. I only started singing opera in the subways after I turned 18.

Right. I actually need to write all day.

My dog does freak out if I sneeze. He thinks I'm in danger. I have to stifle my sneezes when he's asleep or he'll be awake and on guard for the next hour.

1 for you.

It’s #3. I started singing opera in the subways around age 16-17.

We rarely had air-conditioning. There was no air-conditioning when I left my mother’s house in 1981. I didn’t get consistent air-conditioning in my home until the late 90s.

1. My parakeet was named Oscar.

2. He lived only three years.

3. He never learned to “talk.”

2

My budgie was named Oliver Twist.

Correct. Oscar lived six years.

What color was Oliver Twist? Oscar was green and yellow.

My first budgie was blue, and just named Budgie. Oliver was my second one when I was a teenager. Strangely I can't remember what colour he was. I want to say green and yellow, but I know I likely would have chosen blue in the pet shop. My visual memory isn't very strong.

I bought Oliver on impulse and got in big trouble from my parents because we had a cat. Oliver had a stroke and my dad took him to the vet with me to put him to sleep. :(

Yep. I did have a Honda Accord once, though.

Poor Oliver!

1. I used to be afraid of dogs.

2. I once had a beautiful lady white Calico cat.

3. She actually wasn’t much of a lady.

1. My female cousin was a pro golfer.

2. Her female cousin ^ is a highly ranked tennis player.

3. My other female cousin is a lawyer in Los Angeles.

My Kitty “Whitie” was mostly white with Calico markings. She was very much a lady. So the Lie is #3.

Tootsie.....on the other hand.... :P

1. Tootsie gave birth to four kittens.

2. Floyd was the father.

3. Floyd was a good dad.

It's rare for cats to be good fathers. My first kitten was a stray my father rescued because the father cat was trying to kill the whole litter. :(

But I bet Floyd was a good dad to three kittens.

Floyd totally ignored the kittens. And he continued to pursue Tootsie even when she was pregnant.

1. Zum Zum was a white Persian.

2. She was a very eccentric cat, and couldn’t be shown, despite her pedigree.

3. She had the “common touch,” despite her official name being Lady Zum Grey.
