Sort of - not in absolute physical terms, but definitely have been attracted by the idea of 'starting again' with a new identity, where no-one knew who I was, etc.

Have you ever been dismissed from a job?

No, I worked my tail off at my job to the point I had a nervous breakdown.
But, I was told that's a lie and I was humiliated on WP about it.

No, but I resigned from my job when I found it impossible to carry on. Otherwise I could well have ended up getting the sack.

How often do you eat at a restaurant, even if it's only a McDonald's type establishment?

Maybe twice a month.

How often do you feel crushed by someone's words?

Not as often as in the past, probably because I have so little interaction with people these days. I'm much more likely to be irritated or annoyed by what people say.

Do you ever hesitate to leave the house if there are people around outside?

Every. Single. Time.

I know you do, too.

Do you ever resent having to repeat yourself over and over again? Assuming you talk to people.

Yes, in short-timeframe situations because of my impatience, and in longer-timeframe situations because I can't get my head around how forgetful most people can be.

Do you have a plan for most days, or do you just make it up as you go along, or end up doing nothing...?

I have a plan for most days, to care for my dog and my cat, and to read. I also try to maintain correspondence with people I love. My to-do list is much shorter these days.

Hardly ever make plans, waste a huge amount of time. I have something akin to a chaotic lifestyle. :|

Do you sometimes spend hours looking at sites like Amazon and Ebay?

When I'm book buying I'm on Amazon a lot. For example, if my birthday is approaching my family sometimes asks me to choose a new book (or two, or ten). 8) I have used Ebay for vintage books, but not as often as Amazon.

Do you look forward to the start of summer? :P

Well, on the basis of the weather patterns in this part of the world, the next proper summer might be in around 2024, not sure it's a good idea to wish away what's left of my life at this juncture. But yes, in a more down to earth sense, I do look forward to the possibility of some warm, dry weather. Wish it was like that all or most of the year. I'm beginning to realize why so many people from this country go to live in places like Spain.

Would you like to live in Spain?

I have extended family in Spain but no, I wouldn't want to live there.

Would you like to climb Stonehenge?

Not really sure what would be the point of climbing up those monuments. :? :)

Do you get seasick?

OMG I did once, and it was the absolute worst feeling in the world. It was when I went deep  sea fishing with my father and grandfather off Florida. I got sunburned and seasick. I would sooner die than relive that day. I've spent a lot of time on boats and that was the only time, but it was BRUTAL.

Once here also, following a channel crossing to France in the early 1980s. Haven't been on too many boats, but am generally OK with them.

How many hours have you spent in front of a computer screen today?

Today as in the past 24 hours?

Probably about six. Most of them were spent saying the same thing over and over, to absolutely no avail.

I won't do that again.
