Usually when events in real life sometimes match those in my dreams.

What is your opinion of working for other people, who can fire you on a whim, versus being your own boss?

Nobody can fire you on a whim in the developed countries. They would need a valid reason.

But being your own boss is great (talking from experience), except when you have to talk to customers...

Moped/motorbike or car?

Not crazy about it, obviously, but it seems to be somewhat unavoidable for many.

An admirable and ideal situation for a lot of people, yet very often out of reach for those who don't have the resources.

I find myself subject to both. I work two jobs.
One with set hours and a supervising manager.
The other where I can (within some parameters) choose my own hours and type of work, and there is no direct supervisor.

Naturally, the second job is my favorite. Too bad it doesn't bring in enough income by itself.

Where do you think the next big war will occur?
Who will fight in it?
Why?

The next war will be in Iran.

USA will participate because there is no war where there is no USA.
Iran will participate because doh!
Britain will join in because USA say they won't be their friends if not.

The war will be fought on economical premises (oil), under the cover of "dangerous religions".

When you listen to a song, do you pay attention to the lyrics, or just the music?

I live in Holland.... in the South-West part of Holland. Or 'The Netherlands' as most say nowadays.

Aaaw, bugger, too late....

In reply to CG, The general feel of the song must be right so I'd say the music is more important a/o I pay more attention to the music than the lyrics. But when the lyrics are really bad, well, than the love for it tend to fade quite fast as well, I guess.

(I love it every time you say "Awwww...bugger too late" )

My city has about 250,000 people.

When you were a child, did you have a favourite toy/item that you slept with at night?

I feel a little shy saying this, but I had a blue blanket which I kept close to me.

My son.
He forces me to stay present in the "real world."
Much as I may just want to space out into mental realms or spiritual realms,
and sever my connection with humanity,
my responsibilities to my young son keep me aware of and engaged with the social world.
His presence has caused me to learn a great deal of things about life and myself that I don't think I would have otherwise learned.
He is a tremendous gift to me.
:D

I would start a Pokemon store, because I love Pokemon, and I want to make Pokemon merchandise more accessible.

I cannot possibly narrow it down to a favorite, but I always like to see a Primrose:

The choice of my username isn't based on thin air and I actually feel that of all creatures the ermine's nature comes close pretty much so.... but I took a test and the result was that I had 'the Jaguar spirit'.

If it's in person, I figure it out pretty quickly. If I don't like them the first time around, i give it one more go. I learned my lesson when I met a woman who I immediately didn't like but now she's been a good friend of mine for 7 years. ;)

If it's online, it takes me longer. Constant inflammatory remarks towards other people and things like that are a huge turn off for me and I don't like people like that.
