What's the most $$$ you lost as a result of something you did wrong?

I'm not sure I understand the question, but I sure have wasted a lot of money in my time, mainly on suits and fine wine/dining. I might be the reincarnation of Baudelaire.

Have you read Les Fleurs du Mal?

Do you prefer red, green or yellow apples?

In school, yes, but not complete works.

Have you read Thomas Hardy?

Some time ago. I found him incredibly boring.

Do you enjoy dates (the fruit)?

I read "Mayor of Casterbridge."

What do you prefer: Hardy's poems, or novels?

I've never eaten a date.

lol -- careful how you word that kortie.

I thought Casterbridge was crazy in its complexity, almost like a Shakespearean tragicomedy.

Do you like walnuts?

I only like human nuts :P

I really enjoyed Casterbridge, actually. I had it for Victorian Lit.

Casterbridge was great, but the double identities and use of tropes were very Shakespearean.

I don't really like chocolate, either way.

Do you like AC in the car, or windows open?

AC, Baby!

But if my woman likes fresh air, then I'll accept that (unless it's over 30 Celsius).

Same question.

I tend to prefer more traditional motifs.

That sentence isn't quite grammatical, but the answer is almost certain to be tradition. I literally cannot think of a single thing about our world that recommends it in comparison with the one that predominated in - say - the 1950s. I'm reminded of the words of Norman Tebitt, Thatcher's right-hand man in the 80s:

Quote:
My Lords, would it not be a good idea if the Chairman of Committees and all Members resisted the mad idea of this House being dragged into this century? It is a very disagreeable century. Would it not be a better idea to drag us back perhaps into the 19th century, which in many ways was a very much better one for this country?

Automatic. I've never learned to drive stick-shift.

The UK has very few automatic cars. Maybe 1 in 7 or so.

Same question.
