Today is 16C calm and at the moment a most beautiful coloured sky. Last night it dropped to 8C.

That's a lovely photo of the sky, CosmicRuss. Last I checked, a few minutes ago, it was 71 F, with a dull haze. Can't have everything all the time.

Hurricane Irene damage in my neighborhood, Norfolk, Va. The first tree missed the building but knocked another tree over and that second tree fell into another tree(third tree) and stripped it's branches and hit the power lines and a fourth tree and knocked some branches off into the street.

It has set there almost all week. I'm not sure if they have cleaned it all up yet. A neighbor and his wife cut up the tree limbs in the street and moved them. And then he helped me and another neighbor clean up my yard area.

It's 86F here in Norfolk, VA.

It stayed under 100 here today, and the forecast has us in the 80/50 zone for the rest of the week. This pleases me greatly.

Can't believe how much cooler it is getting already; high of 95 yesterday, and a high of 82 today...

We're supposed to get quite a bit of rain from tropical storm Lee; possible flash flooding. We've been quite some time without it. Rained earlier, which is why it's so humid.
