i dont get how most autistics disagree with autism levels i mean i know autism can be too complex to have a set level but usually the more complex it is the more its inbetween which is level 2

im level 2 so i have both high functioning and severe tendencies like i can hold down a job providing its my special interest and that my autism is well understood by the boss and im doing the same thing every day
i can be awkward and unaware but as soon as im behind the wheel in the bus im fine im an excellent bus driver and with masking i can interact with passengers and im very good at memorising all the routes and can control the bus no problem

because of my lack of understanding of other people and my obvious meltdowns and other behaviour and need to be alone im not exactly mild but im not severe enough to need to live in a care home or anything

I don't get how typical people can joke around about sex all the time and they ask the same personal questions over again.

They're changing and growing and becoming more aware of what's going around them, and it's scary.

But I've seen some pretty funny posts of parents explaining why their kid is throwing a tantrum, such as "I broke his cheese in half", or "Her dumpling has a bite taken out of it, which she took the bite out of herself".

I don't get why people can't just accept my gender and not question my life choices.

I don't disagree as much as I'm not sure which level I realistically fall into. That's probably not helped by having a SMI(Sz/Sz-a) as well. I'm definitely not a 'needs 24/7/365 care type, but at the other extreme I'm not someone with a high powered career who's achieved anything like great things.

Being able to get into high IQ societies is contrasted by my needing help and support with everyday practical matters.

i don't fully understand how a few ultra-high-functioning aspies can effortlessly emulate NT behavior for extended periods of time.

I don't get why people in my town can't drive in the snow.

I don't get when people like this also blame other autists for not being able to perfectly mask, and for having developmental and milestone delays.
