I don't think so, but I wouldn't mind. I used to collect lots of insects with my 'bug net' and Bug Keeper.

No. I think they are beautiful, and I love to watch them, but I'm afraid of them. Mostly of their little hairs they use to irritate the skin of their predators.

Did you have a "treasure box" as a child?

I had a pink jewellery box with a wind-up ballerina which held all my little treasures. Larger treasures were in a special drawer which was lined with a soft hand towel and a bar of soap (in a glass case), which made everything smell really fresh.

I'm a smell fanatic.

Yes. I had a wooden box with a hasp that I was sure would be the first thing I'd grab in case of fire. It mostly held marbles, old watches and a piece of petrified charcoal.

I love smells, too! My favorite is bergamot.

Do you like heavy blankets at night?

I love heavy blankets. I also love marbles! My favourite scent is probably vanilla.

Do you keep all your greeting cards?

Picturing the beginning of the To Kill a Mockingbird film ..... wow.

Wow! Substitute the old nickels for Canadian loonies (which I was sure were like gold) and that's it!

You know how people always ask what your favourite movie is, on WP? I always say Dead Poets or Penny Serenade. I totally forgot To Kill a Mockingbird so please go back through my 22 000 posts and substitute it in, as needed. Thanks!

Speaking of Canada, I posted some pictures of Whistler for domineekee!

Do you keep your greeting cards?

Unless they are from my wife or son, I keep them for a token period then trash them. Having to make that decision makes me not like receiving them.

Same question.

It's hit and miss. I've never kept them organised but there are quite a few here and there, whereas I trash others.

Do you send Christmas cards?

Only to my grandparents, who are in their late nineties and for whom receiving a card is a highlight of the week. I mostly don't give them because I don't like getting them.

Do you keep items of clothing for sentimental reasons?

I have my father's uniform and his captain's hat. None of my own clothes are sentimental. If anything I had to get rid of many items because of bad associations.

Not recently, unless you count my son's baby clothes.
When I was younger I kept all the clothes I had been complimented on, even after I had outgrown them or they had worn out.

No, but I had my own secret world.

Tell me about your secret language!

I should say first that I'm not a synaesthete, but the language I wanted to create was all based in colors. I even wanted to write a novel with it. Like most of my ideas it was overly ambitious, and I gave up my language.

Do you like roses?

Are you happy?
