I had a student who self-identitied as Buddhist. He was a favorite because of his refusal to conform to pop culture.

Have you been to two or more Canadian provinces?

Same question.

I briefly spoke to the Buddhist chaplain at my university, and the Thai monk he then had with him. I think the chaplain was Thai, too. I rather liked them both.

I've never been anywhere in Canada. Won't give my money to Trudeau.

What do you think of the Hail Mary prayer?

I love it. We use it all the time.

Same question.

I recite it at least fifty-three times a day, usually in Latin. I make sure I offer a few of them up for the benefit of my "friends" here, too - including you :)

Who's your favourite character from Brothers Karamazov?

The only Marian prayer we say more often is It is truly meet...Do you say that one, too?

As far as Brothers K, my favorite is Ivan, precisely because he is so flawed.

I've never encountered it.

My top ten BK characters, in order, are:

1. Alyosha Karamazov
2. Pavel Smerdyakov
3. Fyodor Karamazov
4. Stinking Lizaveta
5. Father Zossima
6. Kolya Krasotkin
7. Ivan Karamazov
8. Dmitri Karamazov
9. Katerina Ivanovna
10. Grushenka

Did you get into fights at school?

Never. I only fantasized about hitting the bullies.

Same question.

I had one difficult year in Uni when I was living with housemates. They were very cruel. Prior to that, I didn't interact with people enough to have fights.

A few times.

What kinds of bullying was it you chiefly encountered?

In school:
Rumours, lies, exclusion, extortion, theft, gaslighting, threats, insults, sarcasm. All from girls.

Mostly accused of being homosexual. One bully used to pinch my backside and imply that I enjoyed it.

Did you go to a co-ed (both sexes) school?

Always, thankfully. I couldn't have tolerated an all-girls environment.

Teasing, being humiliated in PE changing rooms and being threatened. Personally, I quite liked being teased.

I went to coed schools.

Same question.
