Yes, all of my schools were co-ed.

The types of bullying I encountered from boys was physical and usually nastiness and rumor spreading from girls. I have noticed that this is how it usually works out.

Same q. re. bullying

Agreed! An all-boys school is my picture of hell!

Were you ever in Drama?

Did you go to a co-ed (both sexes) school?

I think it's clear who between the two of you enjoyed pinching your backside. Too bad we never think of the kind of comebacks that can shut things down until after the fact: "Oh, come on, Brutus, we all know you're the one you who enjoys pinching my ass, or you wouldn't keep on doing it every chance you get. For some weird reason you can't keep your hands off of me."....

I did not take drama in school.

I loved Drama. I did an undergrad minor in Dramatic Literature, and also took Acting classes in Uni. I never had to go on stage. It was mostly improv work. I even learned how to juggle.

I had to do drama for two years, and hated it. For the third year, I should have had to do it, but got a special exception, and was allowed to spend the lesson in the teacher's office, alone, teaching myself calculus.

What was your favourite teacher like?

He was a socialist, actually, and I argued with him over aesthetics, but he loved poetry in a way no other teacher or professor did.

Pedantic, articulate, well-read, perfectionistic and maternal. (An English teacher).

An American philosophy teacher who was forever making risque comments towards the prettier girls. There were no end of rumours about him, but I tremendously enjoyed his classes. He was a theolgian of sorts, approaching the subject from a Low Church, Liberal point of view. He was obsessed with the Eastern Orthodox Church; it was his principal obsession, after sex.

If you could obtain a mansion in any city in the world, what city would it be?

I don't think I'd live in a mansion if I were rich. Too big. Too much maintenance.

I would want a "regular" house with lots of land.

Seattle, Boston, or New Orleans within the US. If outside the US, Vancouver BC, London, or Sydney Australia.

Same question.

Not a city at all, but somewhere isolated and remote. The Steppes, perhaps.

Do you prefer cash or card transactions?

Credit card, because all transactions are insured for fraud, theft and damage (e.g., returning items past warranty). Also if there is fraud, it's the bank's money and not my personal bank account.

I like card translation because there's a "paper trail," so to speak.

With cash, you can't trace it---and you can't put a "stop payment" on it.

Ever heard the song "Soul Makossa?"

Common or not - I love them.
