LOL..."Spendy" is a Pacific Northwest word :)

Yeah, sometimes I do.....but I usually successfully fight the absurd feelings.

I like regionalisms (like "standing ON line" in New York City). Do you really enjoy regionalisms?

What is spendy? That's cute. ^

It means "costly, expensive." It used to indicate, exclusively, that a person was from the Pacific Northwest---but its use has expanded somewhat.

Yes. Here we drink pop. Whereas where you live you drink soda. Am I right?

Same q

I only consume spendy soft drinks with organic, politically-correct ingredients.

same question

Yep. We drink soda. People in Wisconsin drink soda, too (I believe). But in Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, and Ontario, I know it's "pop."

I enjoy regionalisms very much. If you don't know what a "sliding pond" is, you're not from NYC. It just means "a slide in the playground."

Same question.

Yes, and in some places it's all called Coke.

My psychologist says a few regional things like Donald Trump, but still manages to sound intelligent.

Red:

This is a cafetiere:

I don't know what it's called in America.

I feel tension everywhere, all the time. It's uncomfortable, but it's a large part of the reason for my enviable muscle toning; every muscle in my body is basically undergoing a very light workout every moment of my waking life. I've had a faint six pack and damn good arms and shoulders since I was thirteen, when my anxiety came about in earnest. It's also the reason why I need so much sleep. All in all, not a worthwhile tradeoff.

What's your typical systolic blood pressure?

120's. Sometimes going up to the 130's----but pretty rarely.

We would call that a "coffeemaker," or something like that.

They're pretty nifty, actually.

What is your typical diastolic blood pressure?

Our phrase for cafetiere is French Press, though I don't know what the French would say about that.

I won't share my blood pressure

You could teach Mr. Kortie a thing or two. He's been incredibly bourgeois, colonial and oppressive towards me on the two truths and a lie thread tonight:

For my part, I think I fancy a politically correct marmite sandwich, followed by a tolerant shower and an inclusive night in bed.

I think it's funny that people in the UK call a shopping cart/wagon a "trolley." Our "trolley" is exactly your "tram."

I wish we had more Cadbury chocolate bars.

Do you like Hershey's chocolate bars?
