We would call that a "coffeemaker," or something like that.

They're pretty nifty, actually.

What is your typical diastolic blood pressure?

70.

This is despite the fact I take three kinds of BP meds, I've had a stroke and I have a heart condition.

Whoops.

My diastolic pressure tends to be in the 80s-----sometimes the 70s. My pulse is in the mid-upper 60s.

What do they call a "two-laned highway" (on each side) in Europe?

Third time: 185/90

I'm all over the place. I'll wait and rest and try again. For the record, no I"m not overweight and I don't smoke. I have a history of hypotension (normal BP used to be around 90/60 and doctors were worried it was too low). Then since my stroke it's just out of control.

You mean a double-divided freeway?

Yep. I believe they call that a "duel carriageway" in Europe.

Are you familiar with the term "schlep?"

That's terrifying! I don't want to say anything more, for fear of alarming you.

This is bad enough, for someone of my age, weight and level of fitness (all pretty healthy in themselves).

Isn't schlep Yiddish for grunt work?

I think that's the original meaning.

All it means now is to "lug something."

Or to go on a pain-in-the-butt trip in the subway.

But, usually, it means to carry something somewhat cumbersome.

OK boys, I'm going to try BP again. Not to imply you aren't all gentlemen.

I can't think of a Larkin poem, either.

Question: What do you like in a salad?

Tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, fresh basil, balsamic vinegar, and olive oil.

148/93

I took an extra BP tab after those other readings.

That all sounds delicious, Redxk.
