carth,
I've had three relationships, each long-term. I was always the one to end it, but even that was hard. It's upsetting to be in a relationship that isn't working, and hard to find the words to say so without hurting the other person. When relationships end it is seldom anyone's fault, and it's best for the people to remember good times but move on. If the question is about you specifically, try to focus on what's most important right now which is your health, your independence, and your son.

Red wine

It's dark, hot and humid.

Do you like croissants?

I do rather like croissants. I'm a fan of anything French, where food is concerned. I don't understand why no Europeans or Americans eat European food anymore. Cuisine reaches its greatest heights in the French tradition.

When did you last purchase a takeaway?

Oui. Although it's not possible for me to get good ones here so I can go years without having one. The croissants that Hank bought for Sarah to try in Parenthood looked good. :D

What is a takeaway?

Do you like Kimchi?

It's been a while. I usually get thai food about once a month, but I haven't had it since the spring.

We had food delivered for a pool party after my birthday a couple of weeks ago, but I didn't purchase it myself.

A store from which one purchases cooked food to be taken home and eaten - or, in this case, the food itself.

I had to look it up. I've never really had Korean food.

I'm getting an Indian takeaway tonight. I'd prefer a meal in a French restaurant, but can hardly afford it.

If a man: do you prefer to be bearded or clean-shaven?
If a woman: which do you prefer in men?

Clean-shaven, stubble, well-trimmed goatee, it's all good. The only thing I don't like is a moustache on its own.

I prefer to be clean shaven and prefer the same in other men. I do rather like moustaches à la John Bolton in men over the age of forty:

But it would look terrible on any man of my age, I think.

The only bearded man I can think of for whom I have much time is Jonathan Frakes from Star Trek TNG:

Incidentally, I love Bolton's signature glasses-tic (you might say "stim") in the photograph above; I do exactly the same thing at least once a minute, when wearing them

Do you like fountain pens?

I was on a kick for awhile where I liked fine pens including some fountain pens. My issue is that I don't hold a writing instrument properly due to a clumsy finger fracture as a child. As such, my fingers smudge fountain ink. I prefer rollerball.

In the pen world one can find pens that cost above $10,000.

No, but I used to be into Led Zeppelin in the late 1980s. Would that have counted? :?

Do you have an opinion on Led Zeppelin? If so, what is it?
