Tough one. I have a lot of traits from my father, mostly AS related but I'm more flexible than he was, I think, more creative. He was a very stable man and me, well.... less. Also he taught me the love for nature and music, which I am very grateful for/of.

Material things; I inherited an old clock that's been in my family for over 250 years, I'm suppose to give it to my son (but um, no son here).

No, and I hope never.

When last were you out and about with a group of friends?

Never. If i had invented the english language it wouldn't have the word 'friend'. I can't even wrap my mind around the concept, it sounds so unnatural to me.

Have you ever felt an itch without location, so you have no idea where to scratch?

every so often, especially when there is noise, it seems to make everything so unintelligible that i wonder if i even know who i am in such a situation (happening rather often unfortunately)

what's your relation to noise?

Not sure this is the right way of phrasing but I have a terrible case of hyperacusis.... I'm hypersensitive to sound and noise. Quite a few tantrums a/o meltdowns due to this have occured in the past. May I also say; the one who 'invented' that leaves blowing apparatus should be hanged hic et nunc.... ok, only nunc.

Probably lots of others have something to say about noise so.... same question; what's your relation to noise?

Sound is the primary way in which I experience the world, so noise can be a serious problem for me, if I don't have any control over it or escape from it.

I'll give you an example:

Unfortunately, the neighbors next door have a young girl who loves to ride one of those stupid little kid-cars that run on batteries. The kind where the kid can actually drive the thing around. Well, the noise this car makes as it goes down the street is UNBEARABLE. A high-pitched, grinding whine. I have to retreat from the sound if I'm at home. Headphones or other sounds to drown it out. Even after the noise is gone, I experience residual "echoes" of the terrible sound, where I will swear that I can still hear it, even though I know it's not there.

Dog barks, liquid sounds, eating sounds, high-pitched sounds, etc. all set me off in various ways. Some worse than others. I am hypersensitive to noise, and I often have to take precautions against it. I wear headphones with mp3 player a lot... mostly when I have to go out in public to stores and the like. Unexpected sounds, and background chatter (the kind you hear in grocery stores) drives me insane.

I could go on, but I've already dragged this out too far. Noise + Me = :shaking:

Did you have a favorite childhood toy that you were attached to?
If so, tell us about it and the significance it had to you.

A stuffed toy of Leonardo, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.

It's significance? Well, I won it in a competition, the first and only competition I've won.

Did you remember to count your blessings today?

I did, actually.

When I got off work today, I drove by the local Hindu temple, and I was playing some devotional music on my car stereo. I experienced a profound movement of spirit, that I think could roughly translate into, "counting one's blessings".

I mean, when you begin to see God in everything... that's blessed

What is your favorite music album?
Why?

Fumbling Towards Ecstacy, Sarah McLachlan

I think every single song stands on its own, evoking strong emotions in me. I think the songs also work together well as an album, with an overall feel that is consistent without each song being a copy of another. I can identify with at least part of each song.

What is your least favorite song? Why?

I'm a complete musical snob, so my list of hated songs is far too long to list, and i hate them all equally. But right now the most recent song i've heard that was so bad i think it gave me ear cancer is that Black Eyed Peas Song "I got a feeling" It actually may be the worse song ever written, produced and recorded.

What do you listen to in the car? (or bike/walking if you prefer that travel, on your mp3 player)

Swedish Folkpop by Nordman. It makes driving in the winter seem meaningful.

What is the worst noise or line spoken in a musical track you ever heard?
