Someone called me mentally slow today and a book that someone lent to me got wet. It's her favorite book too.

I just remembered there was something I had to do within the next few hours. Probably wont do it now as I get really anxious about having to go out and do things at the last minute.

Ok, so my mom called and told me she was headed home soon. Then she called my sister and said the same.

Then she disappeared without a trace, for 14 hours!

She never stays out late... so I get a call around one o'clock from my sister (my mom lives with her), that my mom said she was coming home around 6pm but never made it. I then got into normal clothes and got into my car then went towards her work to see if her car was still there. I then went on the path she takes home and checked to see if I found her car - then went to the grocery stores she goes to to check the parking lots (at 2 or 3 in the morning). Four O'Clock rolls around and no word - no messages, no mother.... so I finally call the police. Then shoot messages back and forth to my brothers/call her husband in Mexico to see if she ended up down there/look up her phone logs to see where she's gone (she made no calls/messages after she called me and said she was headed home at 5:30pm). So the police come, make a report, run her license plates - make a big fuss - write a description, and ... just as the officer is handing me a reference number, my mother calls after 14 hours to ask what we're doing since shes already back at work and calls us worry warts....

I remember allowing at least one textbook to be discarded between five and six years ago. :wall:

Another lady at work is leaving :(

On an insensitive note, I bet they make the social club pay for her farewell party . With a length of service to the firm like what she has given (25+ years!) the cost should be coming out of the partners own pockets.

I was sharpening colored pencils with a hand held sharpener, and for some inexplicable reason holding the pencils while I was sharpening took part of the first layer of skin off of my thumb. It looks awful and stings like a son of a gun. I have washed it many times with soap and water, dried it with clean towels and placed a bandage over it. There's no blood but a mysterious clear fluid sometimes leaks out. I just hope it doesn't get infected...

my mom got into a car accident today. first want to assure you, she is ok just shaken up. she had the green left turn light, the lady on the opposite side turning right didn't yield the right of way to her and hit the passenger side front fender of my car. broke the corner light and severely dented the fender. i just hope i can pop the dent back out. if not i'll pull parts off a junk yard car and throw them on even if it's not the same color (which will upset me more if i can't find a white one to match my car)

Just after I submitted my last post the cat started hissing and pawing at her mouth and when I looked there is one of her teeth on the blanket. :o She'll be going to the vet later. :(

I woke up with rashes and hives all over my body. Quickly grabbed the gold bond powder and lotion.

This happens to me at least once every 6 months. (the situation, not the accident). The left turn arrow always seems to cause over-confidence so no one looks. I actually got honked at recently because I took a left green arrow/then someone took a right and turned into me. But I just let them keep turning until they realized and they veered off. They drove past honking an waving their hands... :o
