I was worried that somebody would be mad at me for taking charge/control of something... and they were grateful instead! I love when anxiety turns into success... I guess it's probably part of why I let myself be anxious about stuff

SA unsw club caucus. i got pointers for talking to contacts when we follow them up with info which is good because i have never done it before and i cannot even make casual phone calls. and somebody awknowledged my presence in a happy way. and i found out a contact we made at the stall came to marxist discussion group & 2 others from unsw were there too. and somebody who wanted to buy our magazine came up to the stall which never happens and then went off to withdraw money specifically to buy it.
and a homophobic bigot came up to me when i was leafleting for a same sex marriage rally and i was rude to her. she was like "if homosexuals are allowed to marry then if people like icecreams they will want to marry them too! i like icecreams but i dont want to marry them. you need to be intelligent about these things." a woman who thinks people will want to marry icecreams if same sex couples can get hitched was telling me to be intelligent. i was like "can you please cross the street before the lights turn red so i dont have to listen to your bigotry?"

Just down the road from where I live there's a field and at the moment there are sheep in it, as I was walking past they they all turned to stare at me. At the same time three geese flew over, I did actually laugh a little because I think they look quite comical when flying. One of them honked aswell

I sorted out my home phone problem which was due to the rechargeable batteries being expired in one phone which was knocking all the others out too.

I got all my household chores done today!
I... swept and mopped the whole house, vacuumed, brushed the dogs, put their fur in tree branches for the birds, made my sick kitty some fresh hamburger and rice, gave flea meds to all the pets (we have 7), cleaned the chicken coops (we have 3), got my change of address taken care of, cleaned the catboxes, did laundry, made my bed, dusted my room, and got some pictures hung on the walls. Today was a good Saturday!

The electricity went out for two hours, so I was forcibly prevented from working on designs. I spent the time reading by maglite-light because we were out of candles.

you put fur in trees for birds? thats an odd thing to do but really nice.

i called my contact today and she said she could come to the branch meeting and to our stall tomorrow at uni. she read our magazine and thought it was good and we talked for 14minutes. yay i got somebody to come to something political. even if she doesnt end up joining SA i hope she gets politically active and is persuaded of our arguments. maybe she'd be into the antiracism group? i hope contacts come tomorrow. i really want to meet them even if it will be awkward.
