Yes. I rather sober prayer for the young when you think about it. And it did make me think about my own mortality and I would wonder if I was going to die in my sleep.

"Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray the Lord my soul to keep
If I should die before I wake
I pray the Lord my soul to take"

It's understandable though because the Catholic Liturgy of the Hours prayers end every evening prayer with: "Lord, grant me a restful night and a peaceful death."

When was the last time you had popcorn?

I said that exact prayer every night, after praying to Santa. I had popcorn about five hours ago!!

How about you?

I haven't had popcorn in quite a while.

Have you ever eaten part of a gingerbread house?

I've made gingerbread houses from scratch, and eaten little bits.
I'm not very fond of gingerbread or ginger at all, though.

I don't recall if I've ever eaten a part of a gingerbread house. I'd take shortbread over gingerbread.

Have you ever had Turkish Delight aka Lokum?

Do you remember last Christmas when I made shortbread with my grandmother's secret recipe? I love it, too!

Yes I've had Turkish Delight.

Have you had Spanish coffee? (It's alcoholic, and served on open flame).

Yes I have, but I do not like it warm so I'm not a purist. I don't like any alcoholic beverage warm, actually.

Have you ever had a hot buttered rum?

I can't / won't / don't drink rum. It makes me really ill.
When I tried it in the past, I don't think it was ever hot buttered.

Do you like Corona?

The Mexican beer? It's ok. I'm not a big fan of beer in general. If I did get a beer, it would be a lighter colored beer like that or lager or pilsner. I don't like dark beer. If I drink a Guinness, I feel like I want to scrub my tongue multiple times.

White or red wine?

Ah, we differ! I like Guinness!

Red. Always red.

We differ again. I drank enough red in my youth, but I think the tannins might give me a headache. That was also back before I would enjoy it in moderation. Maybe if I tried a small glass of good red wine I'd enjoy it. Between the two I would choose white.

Have you ever fished using a bamboo cane pole?
