:P That sounds wonderful!! What a brilliant idea!! ^ I hope you took lots of photos!

I'm really into the Industrial Revolution and the time of the Luddite rebellions.

He made me a wonderful Victorian frock, including a waistcoat, trousers, high collared shirt and one of those beautiful silk scarves they used to wear around their neck.

So I guess I'd go with that.

What you're favourite historical period?

Way to go! Off topic but I really wish Western people kept their traditional outfits for formal events, like most other places. Because that stuff looked dashing, elegant and fun (depending on the colours and trimmings). It's too nice to leave in the past. I bet the pictures looked excellent.

I'm still not sure what my favourite historical period is. I would like to see what Hawaii was like initially prior to colonialism, the history of that area overall. Same with Philippines. I guess knowledge the history of those places before that is scant.

Yeah and still wear it sometimes, I was so grateful that she didn't try to force me to dress "properly" or let me make a fool of myself by showing up dressed like a punk!

So hard to choose, history is one of my favourite subjects and I'd like to take a peek everywhere!

Probably the Antiquity.

Did you have a wedding or do you want one? What kind?

Thank you, blooie, I wish I could have bought an authentic suit, but I'm way too tall for the period

Our age is characterised by such unisex, grey and boring clothes, it's quite a shame!

What do you mean by "traditional", though? 1400s vs 1800s was quite different...

I think she refers to traditional "regional" costumes.

Sorry for the derail, so: Did you have a wedding or do you want one? What kind?

Never had a wedding, never plan on having one, and have never really thought about what kind I might like if it were to somehow happen, so I'll pass the question on to someone else.

Sure I want one. I'm only 20, though.

In terms of legal marriage, I'd be okay with anything that's not too big, up to and including eloping bc why not. That being said, I'd also marry via Orthodox sacrament (an Orthodox Christian wedding).

I think weddings are beautiful but should be a sacrosanct exchange between two people, almost like making love.

The making of lifelong vows, whether or not it's in the presence of God, should be private with just one officiant. A reception or party afterward is lovely, but not the main function of this day.

I don't like all the hoopla and expense some people attach to weddings.

We eloped. No church wedding and no ceremony or party, I was frightened at the time of that kind of thing and since I had no biological family to be with me I think my wife wanted to spare me what would have probably been an awful experience for me. Her parents were very kind about it though.

We thought the marriage should and will be just between the two of us, no family or deity involved and we made our vows and in private - nothing traditionally romantic I guess, but we took it seriously and never allowed boredom and bitterness to enter our house.

Do you like/wear jewellery? What's your favourite gemstone and metal?

That sounds ideal to me.

I like violet alexandrite, and white gold.

I wear a Kate Spade duck necklace most of the time, and earrings for special occasions.

I have a diamond engagement ring but don't wear it. Likewise with my grandmothers' rings (one ruby, one emerald).

That is a very beautiful, thoughtful answer!

I do like jewelry, but I'm not very aware of types of gemstones. Amethyst is my birth stone. I'm a fan of small necklaces and earrings, I'm not as much a fan of bracelets. I have a heart shaped necklace that I like, as well as plain silver earrings or white earrings. I also have a purple heart amethyst necklace from an ex, which I have mixed feelings over.

What would your dream career be if you could choose?

Working in film as a writer, but if not in the field of journalism.

To be a rich travel blogger wandering the world with her dog and her best friend taking pictures, meeting people, learning new languages and cultures, and sharing all the wonderful beautiful things I see with people all over the internet
Either that or a Nat Geo photographer
Or maybe a really good best-selling author and illustrator
Or someone who like travels to food-insecure countries to educate them on more sustainable farming practices they can use to grow food to bring themselves out of hunger (which would also include me being able to go lots of places, meet lots of people, learn lots of things, eat lots of food, and take lots of pictures that I could then post on my social media for people to admire and learn from and could be really popular and write and draw in my downtime and on planes and make an awesome best-selling book series complete with gorgeous illustrations!)
