When you spell it 'adore'.

Merry Christmas!

Merry (quite belated) Christmas!

Why, "merry," and not, "happy?"

Dear kevinjh,
Because, one hundred years ago, Charles Dickens, who popularized the phrase in his book, 'A Christmas Carol', knew that you would exist and would ask that particular question.

The answer, therefore, is: Artistic License'.

Welcome back, we have missed you dreadfully.....

Is that why some e-mails are forwarded to so many people?

It is a form of recycling?

"Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former."

Does this mean that human stupidity is an infinitely renewable resource, and if so, would it be possible to harness it to produce power?

Of course....

That is what fuels 'Tractor Pulls' and 'Monster Truck' competitions.

What if this nonsense about having the heater turned on is only a nightmare?

- If actions speak louder than words, why is the pen mightier than the sword?
- Do radioactive cats have 18 half-lives?
- If the product is better than the leading brand, then why isn't it the leading brand?
- What if there were no hypothetical questions?
- If tomatoes are a fruit, then wouldn't ketchup be a smoothie?

1 - I view it as a metaphor taken for interpretation. Sure - treatys/ the pen trumph fighting / the sword, but it depends on how you interpret that statement.

2 - It's doubtful ..

3 - Because the leading brand spends alot of money on advertising, licensing, and controls the market.

4 - If no hypothetical questions existed, that would mean as human's, we accomplished enough where all questions within our paradigm have an answer, and all outcomes already circumvented. It's possible, but highly unlikely.

5 - It would depend on what your definition of a smoothie is - frankly I just consider it a condiment.
