I totally remember those machines. I knew a family that had one, and they always made "bugs" and "worms", in them!! LOL

I gave mine to a friend who was a model maker.

Yeah, we were still using reel-to-reels on mainframe computers, when I was in the military in the 80s / 90s----and, I've spliced-a-PLENTY of 'em.

how does one know the precise edit point on a computer data tape?

chocolate moo was a brand-name powdered chocolate you added to milk and then shook up in a sealed container to make it into a frothy milk-shakey thing. I liked it but it disappeared quickly from the stores as I remember.

In my neighborhood, it seems as though people taking care of their pets is a foreign concept. We have helped take care of (and adopted) many cats and dogs others have abandoned. Their loss was our gain, IMO. You missed out, people!

I don't think manual transmissions in cars will ever become obsolete.

For one, to replace a manual transmission costs much less than an automatic.

For another, some people believe they have more "control" of a car with a manual transmission. They feel like they are in the "saddle," rather than merely being a relatively passive user of a car.
