Edit: smudge, you expressed it better than I could, it's exactly that way for me too! I only recently started to learn the art of existing only in the immediate present.

Where do I start? Ella, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Patti Smith, Siouxsie Sioux, PJ Harvey, to mention just a few. I have quite a soft spot for strong, beautiful female voices :heart:

How about male musicians/voices?

Freddy Mercury, Ozzy, and Alex Turner have the best voices, in my opinion.

Huh... almost anything except for pop and country. But don't ask me to choose between Bach and Tom Waits :P If I'd be really pressed to choose it would be a tie between classic and jazz/blues

No pop, rap, funky dance stuff, country, or Chopin.

Everything else is fair game. I mostly listen to 1930s onward including a lot of alternative rock.

Do you have any Beach Boys LPs?

Give me some examples of post-punk. Probably -- I just get all the categories mixed up.

I have lots of vinyls too.
