He has a similar effect on me as Monty Python, so yeah.

What can cheer you up or at least give you a semblance of sanity in your darkest hour?

My loved one. My dog. Ella Fitzgerald and a bubblebath.

Then silence and a dark room with my pillows.

Anything that makes me laugh, or the stillness of the present.

Same question.

Researching some disturbing and occult topics
Do you believe in magical thinking?

In despair, I always resort to humour. Ella Fitzgerald

What is/are your favourite female voice(s)?

Edit: smudge, you expressed it better than I could, it's exactly that way for me too! I only recently started to learn the art of existing only in the immediate present.

Sorry - I believe it exists, but I don't think that way.

What is/are your favourite female voice(s)/musicians?

Where do I start? Ella, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Patti Smith, Siouxsie Sioux, PJ Harvey, to mention just a few. I have quite a soft spot for strong, beautiful female voices

How about male musicians/voices?

Freddy Mercury, Ozzy, and Alex Turner have the best voices, in my opinion.

One can't forget The Beatles together or separately either.

Huh... almost anything except for pop and country. But don't ask me to choose between Bach and Tom Waits :P If I'd be really pressed to choose it would be a tie between classic and jazz/blues

Same q

No pop, rap, funky dance stuff, country, or Chopin.

Everything else is fair game. I mostly listen to 1930s onward including a lot of alternative rock.

Do you have any Beach Boys LPs?

Yep lol - even some vinyls in my basement.

Do you like post-punk?

Give me some examples of post-punk. Probably -- I just get all the categories mixed up.

I have lots of vinyls too.

I forgot to mention Art Garfunkel for men, and Sandy Denny of Fairport Convention (female).

Carole King too.

Do you like radishes?
