i was a fair speller but no better. as somebody famous back in the day somewhat sourly observed, "it's a helluva poor mind that can only think of one way to spell a word!" i thank god for google which corrects my spelling

From what I can recall: it isn’t really tested that much in British education, past age seven there was just one test at sixteen to confirm you have a basic grasp of how sounds are encoded in text.

Do you ever sit here on this thread racking your brain for a question?

In Primary I excelled in Spelling, but I had difficulty with punctuation. I wrote many run-on sentences of several hundred words.

I'm not often stumped for a question.

Do you see a therapist?

presently not but in my lifetime i've seen enough therapists to feelgood an army.

Yes I have a trauma therapist and an ASD psychotherapist. I'm currently doing my ADHD assessment with a neuropsychiatrist and a neuropsychologist who will provide Skype counselling for ASD / ADHD combined, if I'm interested after the assessment ends. I'm not sure how I feel about video options but it's too far for me to commute to those doctors.

I never had patience to collect anything material.

the closest i ever got to that, was one day in 2004 i found a dirty, neglected meowing back scratcher sitting up forlornly in a junk pile at the seattle goodwill store, i hadda rescue it from there! i took it home and cleaned it up and polished it up and now it rests comfy and nice on a pillow. and i collect lotsa stuff.

Just Brontë books. I have several editions of each novel, virtually every biography in print, and the social histories.

I collected souvenir spoons as a child so I still have those, but haven't added to the collection.

Oh, I also buy vintage and antique picture frames but that serves a purpose to display old family photos.

I can build sort of a half-butted kite----and it might even fly!

What is your biggest worry today?

That I'll have to do this particularly pain-in-the-butt court part that has computer glitches.

Yes, not every day, usually something relatively unobtrusive like gently running my fingernails back and forth over my lips.

Have you ever full body stimmed so hard you hurt yourself?

Yes. I had to take Risperidone to control my stims, because I was hurting myself.

Do you think you have Tourette's? (Or do you?)

Don’t think so... I feel sure I’d notice that, says the man who didn’t put two and two together about himself until his girlfriend dragged him to the conclusion.

When I was ten I went to summer camp. Upon arrival all the campers were taught about accepting Tourette's. I have no idea why because none of the campers seemed to have it. Looking back, I always wonder if it was me.
