Scattered and assorted lamps with low-wattage bulbs and dark shades in this house.

How much of the wall space in your house have you covered up with art/pictures/prints?

Very little? Not sure how to quantify.

I only like white walls, accented here and there by posters and a few paintings. So percentage-wise not a lot, but they are all rather striking.

I have my mom's paintings only.
How much hours of sleep do you need to feel well rested?

I don't feel well rested. Honestly, never. I've had sleep lab assessments and I lack the ability to get restorative sleep. I don't get to the level called Delta Wave (after REM).

I normally sleep about five or six hours even with prescription sedatives.

It depends a lot on my mood. If i am anxious i either can't sleep much and act like zombie, or if i am depressed even 10 hours doesn't cut it.
I don't remember the last time i felt well rested either.

Do you like pumpkin Spice?

About two or three times a year I actually wake up feeling rested, it's a glorious feeling.

Every 3 or 4 months, after staying awake for 24 to 36 hours on a regular basis and sleeping 8 to 12 in between I sleep for 24 hours  (my personal record being 36) - sometimes I actually get some rest from it, but not always.

Long story short: it's complicated.

Oh, sorry April, I've never had pumpkin spice, only heard of it.

Are you OCD enough to iron your bedsheets?

I don't like pumpkin spice but I'm all about salted caramel.

I don't iron my bedsheets. I don't even use a top sheet (just duvet and fitted sheet, with weighted blanket on top).

I know it's very unmanly of me but I'm a regular Princess Pea  a small crease in the bedsheets can drive me insane and don't get me started on the type of fabric or the number of pillows I need  I plead insomnia and fussy sleeper.

How was your day?

Oh I didn't say I wasn't fussy .... fabric selection can take me years. I've been looking for a new duvet cover since 2013 but I'm having issues with texture and refuse to pick one. Also, I'm extremely picky about my five pillows and they cost a bleeding fortune.

My day was alright. I spent it with my mother but it wasn't too bad.

Fairly good thanks, achieved what I set out to, got annoyed with someone (probably unfairly), had a bit of news I’m not sure what to make of yet, and annoyed my wife by having forgotten to do something last week that’s for next week.
Future: must remember that’s a thing
Fairly uneventful, with luck tomorrow will be even more nondescript :)

How about your day?

:D
Egyptian cotton covers, down pillows and duvets with differing tog ratings... my sleep improved once I got the combo right.

An alright day all round, hot chocolate, snow outside, me inside...

Busy. Something ticked me off and I had to make a post here so I wouldn't keep having a conversation with someone in my head, then went back to work

What are you looking forward to this week or in the near future?

Tomorrow I'm busy all day at medical appointments, and likewise on Weds. I'm looking forward to Friday because I will get my ADHD report and spend a few hours with the neuropsychiatrist.

In the near future I'm looking forward to .... um? The summer solstice, so it can get dark at night again.

I'm looking forward to making friends and getting to know the locals in this new place I'm at now. It still doesn't feel like home though.

Have you ever had to completely hide your feelings from someone, because it was absolutely necessary to? And even though honesty is the best policy, in that case, even though it defied how you really felt, you simply can't open up? Like to a person who lied and used the truth against you, or a person who is paranoid, etc.

I hope you get used to your new home soon, smudge :)

Yes, I had to do that, it's a very uncomfortable and oppressive feeling :( These days I really try not to have any kind of relationships that require such things. I'd rather go without, but it was much harder when I was younger
