One side are friendly... although getting talked at whilst you’re stood on the doorstep with groceries in both hands does lack charm in some way.
The other side we never see.

Right now my relationship with the neighbours consists in saying hello, occasionally holding doors or accepting parcels for each other. We don't do small talk. So I love them

Ok... what was the worst place you ever lived in? (no need to disclose location if you don't want to, just describe what made you miserable)

Sorry to hear that April, I hope you feel better now (been there, although not in Tarragona)

A few years ago, I spent a year in a very small place abroad (30 000 inhabitants), despite already being wary of small communities. It was a nightmare, for some strange reason, everybody seemed to be incredibly aggressively intrusive, racist, homophobic, ableist, ignorant and talkative and looked at personal boundaries as an outrageous eccentricity 8O The only hobbies I noticed were imbibing large amounts of alcohol starting from lunch and incessant and malicious gossip. And the average age seemed to be 120.

On the other hand, I've met the guy who's my best mate now there and helped him escape, so maybe it was worth it lol

How about the best one?

Shared house in second year of uni (2004-5)was the worst building: cellar flooded from next doors drain permanently and mould growing up the walls.
Shared house from 2005-10 was the worst experience.
Ever lived with a death metal band who think the house is both a rehearsal space and a recording studio?
(And a casino/drug den while we’re at it  )
I really enjoy the quiet now! :D :D :D
Both the above in Huddersfield, which is actually quite beautiful in places: lots of fantastic Victorian parks & buildings.

I think the last place we lived: big three bedroom detached house on the edge of town with fields and trees all around.

What was/is the best place you’ve lived in?

 great minds

Also sorry to hear about that April
Felt the same way in second house above. Hope you’re much better now :)

Thank you guys, i am alright now, it was just a bad period in my life.
@Bender: I am glad you met a friend there, at least the difficulties you endured had worth it!
The best place i've lived? Where i live right now, pretty close to my parents and i still have my own place too!

What is one characteristic of yours you wish you could change?

My tendency to bloodymindedly persevere with small things I could easily work around.
I was over thirty before I realised I could wear sunglasses outside of summer

Glad to hear you’re happier now.

I picked my adopted home(land) 30 years ago but due to curiosity and work often lived for 1 to 3 years abroad. It's fun, but in 2018 after taking a contract in Helsinki I decided I'm getting too old for this s**t :P

So I'm back home which is for me the best place in the world

Oh, moving fast: hmm... not sure if it's a characteristic but insomnia would be on top of that list.

And I'm very happy you found some peace now!

Worst place: An off-campus house with some friends during Uni. As the year went on one of the girls became malicious to all of us, including putting all my clothes and my frozen food outdoors one day when I was at class. It was constant cat-fighting with her vs. everyone else. I moved out because she was so vile. 20 years later we reconnected on Facebook and we are now the best of friends online. She was acting like that because of violence in her relationship with her boyfriend. It's a long story but she was living in fear under his thumb. Thank goodness he's long gone from her life and she's been able to make amends with us all.

Best place: The house my dad built, where I lived 0-5 on a private road just for my family.

I wish I could change my PTSD and my atrocious executive dysfunction.

I would like to stop comparing myself to others and focus more on what makes me happy.

What do you like about yourself?

Wow, that's quite a story, Isabella!

Karamazov, you look like Johnny Depp, how bad can it be? :P

I still keep in excellent shape and it matters a lot not so much towards my vanity as to my sanity.

Sorry, I'll go there: what do you dislike most about yourself?

Same as April. I'm openminded and charitable toward others.

I dislike my executive function, or lack thereof.

What are you doing this weekend?

The darker the better.

Helping my parents with their move again on Saturday, then alternating between guitar and armchair inhabitation on Sunday.
