yes, it was an excruciating experience for me, i dearly did NOT want to hurt the feelings of the lady [a friend of my sister's who last fall had invited us over to dinner at her house for christ's sake! ] but unfortunately i could see her face darken. no hiding stuff from women. especially mothers.
