It's not fair how NTs can say offensive stuff all the time and just pass it off as a joke but if I do that even once or twice people demonise me as a baddie.

Some other American presidents in the past actually did things for the States and for the people living in it. What has Trump done? Virtually nothing except send his "thoughts and prayers", and get his picture taken with a baby who lost its parents in the most recent mass murders. It made me regret every single thing I ever ate in my whole life. :eew:

He must be the laziest president who ever lived...so far. Garfield the cat would do a better job, and maybe even fulfill his promise of "A lasagna in every oven, and a cat in every house".

I noticed that a lot as a kid. When I'd tell on a bully the teachers usually didn't believe me but the occasional times I was believed I'd get told that the bullies were only joking/kidding. But whenever I tried to joke back I'd get in trouble for being the bully even thou the other person was the 1st one to say something mean.

I hear ya. I'd pick Garfield over Trump. James Abram Garfield was a much better president in his short time in office but I know your talking about Garfield the cat & I'd pick him over Trump too

Travelling on the buses in my area.

The amount of time taken up when people are boarding the bus is staggering. In London, where there's a cashless smart card boarding system, it takes about 30 seconds for 30 people to be processed. Here, where we're apparently still in the Neolithic age, one person paying for a ticket in cash can take up two minutes or more (fiddling in their pockets for coins, asking how much the fare is, asking where the bus goes to (!), etc. This probably adds at least 30% to the average journey time.

In London, they introduced smart-card payment about 15 years ago, and in some parts of the Far East (eg Hong Kong), it's been in operation for 30 years, but there's no sign of it being properly introduced here. Add to that the fact that the company that runs most of the services in this area (First Group) can't run them on time, or at all in some cases.

I learned today that the company that will be taking over train services between Manchester/Liverpool/Glasgow/ Birmingham and London from Virgin Trains will be.....First Group. No wonder Jeremy Corbyn has a sporting chance of being our next Prime Minister.

I got done typing a 30 minute account of my day for a friend and copied it to post later. Then out of habit I inadvertently copied a Youtube song link and....the whole thing I'd typed up...gone.

I'm doing Ok though. Things are getting better: à demain !

Turns out he isn't NT. Still think it was an over the top reaction but. It was a groan worthy joke and he got offended.

I tried logging into my 8 year long abandoned Twitter cos they spoke more sense on there than on Reddit. Nobody wants to know me on there anymore.

In an Ebay auction this evening, my bid was winning until ONE SECOND from the end, when someone swooped with one of those automated sniping bids to secure the lot. This is the second consecutive time this has happened, and it was probably the same person.

I've made a few bids myself in the final minute or two of these auctions, but the ones I'm talking about give other bidders no time to react (in fact, the bid was revealed a few seconds after the auction finished), and couldn't happen at a 'real' auction, where there's always an opportunity to put in a counter bid. Not good.

I had that happen to me a lot too. The thing I try to remember is that eBay lets you submit a maximum bid so I try to think about how much I am willing to spend before I would chose not to buy it & I submit that amount when I make my bid.

Holy s**t I had not seen this.

Back in 1997 we used to joke that he lived behind a friend's couch in a bedsit, it was funny at the time and difficult to explain the humour contained therein.

Just trust me on this.

After reading that article I have a new claim to fame , I've been locked up in the same nut house as Richie Manic
