Piers Ploughman was written by a possibly semi-legendary guy named William Langland.

I found a King James Bible today in my things. It was inscribed to me as a child by my aunt and uncle.
Maybe one day I'll read the whole thing.

1. My closest friend is Trinidadian and she teaches me about Hinduism
2. My former friend was Baha'í but we had a very bad disagreement and haven't spoken in 21 years
3. My uncle was an archdeacon in the Church of England

I wish I had gone camping like Sir Gawain did.

1. She might be Trinidadian, but she doesn't teach you about Hinduism.

Oops. I just learned something from Google: Hinduism is the second most common religion on Trinidad and Tobago.

So much for me speaking in ignorance! I change my answer to 3. Is that cheating?

There are many Muslim Indian Trinidadians, too.

Most of the Afro-Trinidadians are Christian. My wife is an Afro-Trinidadian.

Sometimes, the African and Indian Trinidadians don't get along. Their political parties are at least partially based on their ethnic heritage. But some do. My wife's brother's wife is of Indian heritage.

1. My wife's father was not born in Trinidad.

2. My wife's mother was an urban girl, growing up in the capital, Port-of-Spain.

3. My wife was in the first year (1960) where they offered free secondary school education.

Yes, she does teach me about Hinduism because I find it fascinating.
Yes, I had a very bad falling-out with my former friend in 1997. She phoned me to say she wasn't my friend any more.
No, my uncle wasn't an archdeacon. My great-uncle's brother was (or someone like that; I forget the relation).

My wife's father was born in Toco, on the wild northeast coast of Trinidad. He used to hunt wild game, and eat it. He worked in the courts, like I work in the courts. He didn't finish primary school; but that didn't matter.

I love those kinds of stories.

He passed away in 2012. He constantly wore a fedora, even shortly before he passed away.

My wife found about it while we were visiting my father.

My condolences. I'm still grieving my father and I know how painful that can be.

1. I almost drowned in the sea by Blanchisseuse, on the northern coast of Trinidad.

2. I was saved by Trinidadians who formed a line out to the sea. One guy grabbed my hand.

3. I wasn't trying to save anybody while I got trapped in the rip current.
