Do you prefer movies or video games? Why?

i designed my own war simulation game back in the pre-computer eighties using boards, cardboard markers, tables, and dice.

It simulated naval warfare of world war two- battleships shooting at each other.
It became more adicting than crack ( I tried crack- this game was more addicting).
If a low tech None userrfriendly game like the one I designed was that overwhelming- then video games would probably be even more addicting. So I wouldnt want to touch a video game.

I'll stick to movies. Less exciting but I can keep my life!

Speaking of movies- what are your five favorite lines from the movies?

Can't remember 5 right now but this is my favorite conversation from "Mozart and the Whale"

Isabelle Sorenson: All this time, and you didn't call.
Donald Morton: I was gonna call.
Isabelle Sorenson: You were?
Donald Morton: Well just to tell you that I wasn't gonna call so that you wouldn't be aggravated, sitting around waiting and wondering when I was
Isabelle Sorenson: gonna call?
Donald Morton: Yeah. But in the end I figured that forcing myself into your life was probably not right. I would always do that. So the only nice thing I had left to give was just not to call.
Isabelle Sorenson: I hated you for not calling. Because you were always gonna be there, and when you weren't, it was as if you didn't love me anymore.
Donald Morton: So go home, I'll call ya.

Speaking of Mozart and the Whale, do you think Aspie-Aspie relationships are better than Aspie-NT or NT-NT relationships?

I obviously couldnt say for sure, but I would bet that if you were to do a study and to look at stastics of breakups/divorce, they are all just as equal to each other, comparing NT&NT vs NT&AS vs AS&AS

I like cold places when I'm too hot, and warm places when I'm too cold.

Was there ever a hyped up movie that you think deserved that hype?

that's an interesting question, to answer i will have to deviate a little from mainstream hyped releases (the oh so clichéd Independence Day etc) and nominate Kill Bill as the hyped movie that lived up to the expectations that i had.

Kill Bill was to be the most notable release, with the most media attention, from Quentin Tarantino after Pulp Fiction and the very entertaining and often forgotten Four Rooms (Jackie Brown deserves only a small mention imho). Kill Bill was played up by the media before its release with a number of print articles, tv spots, teasers, and blog mentions.

Kill Bill ticked a lot of boxes for me; the fractured narrative, the so bad it's good and highly quotable dialogue, Uma Thurman as the relentless katana wielding protagonist, the story of O-ren Ishii (need i say more), the amazing soundtrack, and engaging camera work... :thumleft:

what is your most recent favourite "discovery" in film or music? how did you stumble upon or make the discovery and why do you like it*? A very good question indeed as, my best answer would have to be the musician Sheila Chandra an Indian vocal artist whom, I've heard of but, never actually listened to until recently..I tend to like Indian music due to it's exotic nature you could say...

What do you find tends to resonate with you the most in terms of books??

A lot of time and a lot of effort is what resonates with me, as far as books are concerned.

Do I act British?
