I do go to shops occasionally, but never on my own due to my sight, or lack of it. Mum and dad do the heavy shopping.
Do you like supermarkets?

No. I hate shopping, or being in public spaces in general, I feel exposed. My vision is weird, imagine searching a dark room with a laser pointer. I can never find anything, and I would never recognize it unless it looked exactly the way I picture it. So supermarkets are hard for me because they're large and I don't know where to find anything. I have mom accompany me when I go shopping, and I buy groceries for my parents.

How did you find this forum and why?

I first found a reference about it in NeuroTribes by Steve Silberman. Then mum found it and thought I could join it. And here I am, firmly slotted into the community.
Same question

I was on a forum for something else when I was 16 or 17 and tried to find a forum for autistic people. I found this one, but didn't sign up for a couple years because the other forum I was on was really cliquey and frustrating, so I was worried this one would be like it.

Do sunny days motivate you, or do they just overwhelm you?

Depends on the time of year. Spring? Very nice. Hot summer, above 30 degrees Celsius? No thank you!
Do you like mist or fog?

I do.
The thicker, the better. I like walking to areas where it happens.

Same question.

Mist as I like to see what's coming ahead of me I guess. Fog doesn't really bother me much either, but I don't recommend climbing a mountain if it's foggy.

Do you like tests?

I'm good at taking tests, but no, I do not like tests.

What is your favorite candy?

Maybe butterscotch caramel candies. It's a hard one because I like fruit flavors too.

If you're on this side of the spectrum, how did you feel after you learned and understood your condition?

I don't remember as I had terrible depression at the time so although I know the day I was diagonsed I don't remember much beyond that. Like in history I have a dark ages in my memories and only remember certain key events during that time, but before or after that time my memory is fine.

Do you have a favourite fruit?

Same question.

Oranges, probably. Sweet, tart, smells refreshingly great, even the peel is pleasant. Also makes my digestion work.

Both a men's and ladies question. Which do you think looks better, a necktie or a bowtie?

I like neckties better. They look BADASS. Especially when paired with a blazer.
Do you prefer blazers or jumpers?

Blazer for looks, jumper for comfort. I've found the more formal the clothes are the more uncomfortable they are.

In your opinion, should house mice be caught using a lethal or non-lethal trap? (Throwing a dead mouse outside for animals to feed on is an option.)

Non-lethal. If you're going to catch them, be humane.
Do you like rodents?

Rodents are one of my favourite groups of animals, they're good pets and I like them a lot. I currently have a rabbit (which are technically lagomorphs, not rodents lol), and have had hamsters, a rat, and couple guinea pigs before.

Have you had any rodents/rodent-like animals as pets?
