I love candles! I find the light from them is easier to handle than artificial lighting. I also like lighting things and have been guilty of messing with lit candles...

I love candles as long as they're unscented. At night I'm almost always basked in candlelight or else little fairie lights because I can't tolerate normal lighting. We should all live in birthday cake light!
My brother played with fire and lit his arm on fire. His other arm was broken at the time. Bad summer!
My friend is afraid of candles and many other things because of superstitions.
Do you have any superstitions?

I don't really have superstitions in the classic way, but I can be pretty Type A about doing things in the same way. I think that's just my autism, though.
Examples of my friend: He won't leave home without shutting off his entire water line so the house won't flood. He won't light candles. He won't walk even a step with only one shoe or one sock. He won't wear clothes inside-out or wear green to a wedding. He won't light a cigarette or anything from a candle. Horse shoes must be in the U shape instead of the frown shape. He believes that giving an owl gift is bad luck (toys, clothes, figurines). Spilling salt or pepper is bad luck. The first person in his home after New Year must bring salt or a gift. Housewarming gifts must include salt, bread, and wine. There's hundreds more but I don't keep track of them all.
Do you play songs on repeat?

Yes. I actually have been doing that with a couple songs the past few days. lol
Your friend also has a lot of superstitions. I have some superstitions/obsessions like repeatedly checking if doors are locked, stoves are off or things not in use are unplugged, etc. because I think someone will rob us/a fire will start/etc. if I don't, but once again it's more irrational OCD-esque stuff.

Same question.
It's my friend who found out that his frontal lobe is "pretty much dead, and has been for years ...." Maybe that explains it.
Lol. He's also South American so I think a lot of it is Spanish folklore.
I've been watching Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners and there are lots of people with the types of OCD you're describing.
Yes I've been known to play songs or playlists on repeat for hours. I once drove a round trip 6 hours each way all in one go, listening to one song the whole time. It was this one:
Do you have a to-do list for today?

Not as a foreign exchange student, although I was going to when on a Japanese Degree, but I changed to Accounting. I was an au pair though which is kinda similar I'd have thought.
Have you ever worked and if so what was your least favourite job?

Never worked except on work experience within my school. The job isn't something I hate, though. Same question

I lost my ability to mask in public or be in group / public settings without considerable distress and / or meltdowns. I've also lost most of my verbal skill, my ability to balance / ride a bike, and the ability to sleep without prescription medicine. Some of that is from trauma and stroke but the social bits are from burnout. I can't tolerate bright light either, and my misophonia is pretty debilitating now.
same question
