this isn't a particular dream but i've been having a lot of predicament maze dreams with ambiguous resolutions lately. by predicament mazes i mean that there are a finite amount of options in order to reach "the goal", and as said goal becomes closer the amount of choice diminishes. towards the end its about deciding what is least detrimental (or sometimes not having the option to decide anyway). all of the "goals" are pointless too, like i'm stuck in some kind of mental bondage. for instance, last night i had to traverse a vertically oriented sand, rock, and old wooden dock beach/cliff/maze with huge waves incrementally hitting it, in order to find a girl and her mom and talk to them. as i got closer it was clear that the choices i had to achieve "the goal" were being limited, for example, towards the end of this segment i had to decide between letting an incoming wave crash on me and hopefully take me towards a grasping point, or, jump up to a dock where the wood was rotting so much that i would be surprised if it held my weight for more than a second. anyways, when i finally reached the girl and her mom, i realized that the tide was coming in and if we didn't move higher up we would drown. idk what happened after having water up to my chin, but then i was in a new but very different predicament maze. there have been from 1-8 predicament mazes per night. it would be helpful if "being trapped in a nightmare" was a valid excuse to be late to class or miss the first couple hours of work :shaking:.

I dreamed that I was in the city's park at night when suddenly there were huge explosions of flame and people were running and screaming about The Rapture and the world was ending. There were people completely engulfed in flame, and I was running as fast as I could, secretly begging God to spare me, and somehow I survived. I mean, of course I survived, whenever anyone has a dream about the world ending they're always the one person who survives and they never see the people who survived in their own similar dreams.

But I didn't float heavenwards to join the believers so I guess I was doomed, anyway.

I think I've been watching too many videos of zero-budget, creepy and really bad Christian kid's shows on EverythingIsTerrible's channel on YouTube. :)

I don't know what kind of dream this is or even if it qualifies to be a dream, but all night long I was serenaded by the words and music of the song "manha de carnaval." :dj:

I thought it might help me meet my special someone in my dreams, since we both love the theme.

^^^very tranquil :thumleft: below is "manha de carnaval"-

lyrics- [Portuguese/English]

Manhã, tão bonita manhã [Morning, such a beautiful morning]
Na vida, uma nova canção [In life a new song]
Cantando só teus olhos [Singing to your eyes only]
Teu riso, tuas mãos [Your laugh, your hands]
Pois há de haver um dia [For there to be the day]
Em que virás [When you will come]

Das cordas do meu violão [The strings of my guitar]
Que só teu amor procurou [that only your love sought]
Vem uma voz [Comes a voice]
Falar dos beijos perdidos [Speaking of kisses lost]
Nos lábios teus [In your lips]

Canta o meu coração [My heart sings]
Alegria voltou [The joy returned]
Tão feliz a manhã [So beautiful a morning]
Deste amor [This love]
